Information about this year's rally at Henlow Bridge Lakes is on the front of this website and further details are in ATG which will be coming to a letterbox near you soon (if you're a club member). We've organised free camping at the site for members. I had a look round the site last weekend and they have built some lovely, cosy cabins and lodges, as well as the glamping pods that they have. Well it's just about to happen! If you can't make for the full weekend you'll be welcome on any day.
Friday will be quiet - well, with beer and chat throughout the evening
Saturday will have a brief AGM - no, the committee doesn't like them any more than you do, but it's a chance to have your say - then food, free wheeling discussions, ending with a free Italian food extravaganza (you just pay for the beer)
Sunday wil be a visit to the Shuttleworth collection of vintage bikes, cars & planes

And the club Strada is nearing the end of its 40 years, 40 riders, 40 miles duties and it will be at the rally. A few club members have already reserved a ride during the weekend but if you want to try the lovely little machine, let me know, or Anne Cooper via the 40 Riders email address. You'll just need riding gear, your licence and proof of insurance. And, if anyone wants to take the next leg of the club bike's UK tour, it needs to go from the rally in Bedfordshire to the south/south west sort of area...

And also at the Rally - the unmissable offer of buying three ATG binders for less than the price of two - just so that all our members can keep their copies of the Countrys' best One Make Club magazine in pristine condition (and so you can find that information you're desperately seeking...)

Hi guys,

Its not a definate but I am hoping to be able to come down for one day over the weekend. It would be nice to meet a few people before the ride to Germany.

Just for information there will probably be very few people on site after late morning on Sunday as they will either have gone to the shuttleworth collection or gone home.

Worth confirming what time everything starts - it's not on either the front page of the web site or the article in ATG (that I can see?).

Wouldn't want people to get there and have missed the free tea / biscuits / food / beer (as long as they're members, and contributions welcome for the beer...)

Start time useful as I missed the start last year. Being foreign I have a165 mile journey to make in the morning. Need to leave 3 hours before the start.

My apologies to the Secretary as the timetable (agenda) is on page 10 of ATG, current issue... So -

For those lucky campers - on the 13th hot suppers from 5:30 til 8:00 from the on-site catering van

On the 14th;

Breakfast is 8 - 10 am
Welcome tea / coffee and biscuits 10:30
AGM starts at 11:00
Open Forum and discussion 12:00 noon
Break for a light lunch 1:30 pm
Beauty Parade of Morinis present and voting - 2:30
Results and rewards 3:30
followed by socialising and a traditional Italian Meal in the evening

On the 15th the run to the Shuttleworth Collection leaves the site at 9:30 for a full English breakfast at Old Warden Airfield

I hope your sun tan has been properly topped up Mike. Good to see you, and everyone else who came along for a very enjoyable event, especially those on Morinis, eh Mike? And a special thanks to Anne Marlow for preparing some excellent food - my next meal is due on Wednesday...

I would like to add that I did feel sorry for Anne making all the fantastic grub whilst the rest of us rambled on (well, me anyway).

So it's Yorkshire next year then? Must be 400 miles from Exeter....

Great weekend, thank you to everybody who came and more importantly everyone who put effort into organising it, setting up camp, and a special thanks to Ann for the catering efforts.

It was nice to see some new faces and a great lineup of Morini, old and new, and the run out to the shuttleworth collection made a nice relaxing end to the weekend.

Yorkshire in May eh? I'll bring a torch. Will we see the Northern lights?
I set off back at approx 0920 and arrived at 1410, stopping once for fuel. Mind you got lost in bl**dy Flitwick!
Very good do, in no small part due to the excellent efforts of those involved in the organising.
