Trackday

Post by MarkB »

Despite not taking to the track myself, it was a great day and we were blessed with good weather - most unusual for Cadwell. Some lovely bikes, Morini and others, old and new, and some good conversations with friends and strangers. Anyway, I was lucky to be allowed inside the track with a press pass and had the opportunity to try out my new telephoto lens, with varying results. So here's a photo of Paul Coxhill on his Valentini, and then a link to a slideshow of the track and paddock.

If anyone would like a high-resolution file of a photo, please PM me with the details of the image you want.

As usual, the organisation was perfect (smooth, efficient and relaxed), we had ample time to have fun on the track and you even managed to keep the rain away until the night :D  .

Plus Mark's nice pictures, and I guess there are others to come.

My only criticism: you allowed a Kawasaki ZX-9R on the track, and its luggage rack was faster than mine. What a disillusion  !

So ATG is upon me, are there any riders out there who went who could provide me with a short story about doing the track day that I can include in the Cadwell 2014 article. I have photos but if you have any that would be great, I will do layouts, but it is always nice to get a different set of words in the magazine from mine, and a new perspective, as I think I have done 30 MRC track days so I do feel it gets a bit repetitive if I always write it. 100 words or 1000 words, it makes no diference.
I have until the end of July before it needs to go to the printers.

Cheers
