2014 Rally and AGM

Post by MarkB »

In case you haven't seen the notice on the website's front page, we'll be holding this year's MRC Annual Rally and AGM at Henlow Bridge Lakes in Bedfordshire after the success of last year's event. It should be great fun with some excellent food and socialising, and I've booked sunshine for this year just to make it even better.

Full details and the timetable are on the members' area of this site, and will be in the next edition of ATG. If you're not yet a member of the club you're very welcome to come along to say hello and talk Morini on the Saturday afternoon.

Regards, Mark. (Please ask or PM me if you'd like further information).

If you are planning to come for the weekend or part of it, please could you drop me a note so that we've got an idea of how many people we need to cater for? Some excellent food is being planned...

And don't forget the autojumble: bring along anything (Morini-related preferably) that you want to sell, and you'll have the perfect buyers' market!

We'll be there Mark, together with some Club products and the new Key Fobs; £4.25 each in black or red and stunningly good value... Make sure that you have enough cash on you! :D

Good riding (once it stops raining again)

Well, despite the unpredictable weather, it was a really good day. Some interesting discussion at the AGM, a great selection of Morinis (and an award-winning Suzuki!), marvellous food - many thanks Ann and all who helped - and excellent company. Full marks to Chris and Diane who came 80 miles two-up on their 40-year old Strada (which deservedly won the Best Workhorse award). A few photos:

A great day out and our thanks to all those who organised the event - both on the day and also all the preparation. It must be one of the Club's best kept secrets, and a very enjoyable one at that. Not only good company, interesting discussions 9the pre-meeting Forum was a great idea), but a fantastic social time as well; it was great to meet old friends, and make several new ones.

Roll on next year; we even got home without seeing rain - so things are steadily improving!!

Good riding,

A quick run up the A1 with little traffic. The modern Morinis are effortless motorway munchers. Just need a new asre and I'll be sorted...

May I add my thanks to all who organised and worked so hard over the weekend. It is not easy and with lazy people like me must be even harder work. Without the tireless effort the AGM would not happen and I am eternally grateful. Sorry I could not finish the barrel but 3 pints was enough for this light weight.

I thought the award to Suzi was great and shows this is not a club that takes itself too seriously, which makes a change from some of the other clubs I could mention where having your head inserted in your exhaust appears to be required. Let's see more people next year... I ran out of people to bore.
