Northern Home Counties Meeting

Post by MarkB »

After our successful gathering in May, where Morinis outnumbered the entire VMCC turnout, how about another meeting in August? The weather should be more predictable this time!

The VMCC Bedfordshire section meet at 8pm on Thursday 9th August at the Shefford Memorial Hall, Hitchin Road, Shefford, SG17 5JA. It will be a good opportunity to have a coke, beer or coffee and gaze at some lovely little v-twins.

Hope to see you there, Mark.

A good idea Mark, but unfortunately for me I will be in France. Like you, I do want to meet up with some other Morinisti, so hopefully others will be able to make it. Perhaps you and others will be around for a September meet also?

George.

Hi George, we're hoping to make the meetings a regular event once more, as long as there's enough interest. Enjoy France, and maybe we'll meet in September. Regards, Mark.

...with the unique 17v battery?

I've had a number of positive responses and the sun's out so it should be a good evening!

Sorry I won't be able to go this time, but I hope others do and that the VMCC meet will become a regular event again.

Have fun, Mark.

With this beautiful weather, is anyone going to Shefford on Thursday?

The VMCC Bedfordshire section meet at 8pm this Thursday, 11th July at the Shefford Memorial Hall, Hitchin Road, Shefford, SG17 5JA and this month are holding a ‘car park concours.’ (I doubt if my Audi will win…) It will be a good opportunity to have a coke, beer or coffee, meet other people and gaze at some lovely little v-twins. www.vmccbeds.co.uk has more information on the venue.

Hope to see you there between 7.30 and 8pm. If your Morini isn’t on the road at the moment, don’t worry; other bikes or cars are welcome too. Please ask anyone else to come along too: you don’t need to be a club member.

Hope to see you on Thursday. Mark.

Hoping to be there, this time on the very rare Morini 1200cc 45 degree v-twin... It being the evening before the Festival of 1000 Sunburnt Necks, the proper Morini will be all taped-up and ready for its track excursion.

Hi All,

Hoping to get there too. Hopefully the generator will generate enough electric for the lights to work on the way home as well this time.

Yes, a very enjoyable evening in the setting sun with a good variety of interesting bikes. I think there were eight of us on or related to Morinis, and it was good to meet some new faces and see some Morinis that I'd not seen before.

Congratulations on finding your key! I'm working away so can't make Shefford this evening. I hope other people can make it, and with the nights drawing in fast it might be the last opportunity this year...

Regards, Mark.
