Re: 250 2c carb to airbox manifolds
Hello Richard 30.01.61 is same part on Kanguro X, airbox side. The coupling ring is just a hard plastic stiffener thing - you can 3D print that! I can measure one for you if needed if no one has them. The 250 2C uses the two right angle parts coupled together, using the stiffener ring- bingo! replac...

Re: Eicma
In Alberto Monni's (general manager) interviews with Moto.it it is said that the engine was designed in Italy by Morini's engineers.
I rather assumed that Morini would buy in a proven engine?

Re: Heat Shield as advertised in ATG
Hi David,
No it wont fit a 478cc, but you can get edge composites to copy a 500 one, if you don't have one someone may be able to lend you one.

Re: Rear Brake Shoes
It definitely good to check the brakes for these kind of issues especially now most of these in the UK are no longer subject to an annual inspection. The sizes are as follows The homolgation A/1 etc define the brake dimensions for Standard machines. Rear drum cast wheel A/3 and K sport or Strada are...

Hi Richard Thanks for the translation, your translation is way better than the official English translation (i have a copy of this) from the 80s :D :D :D Richard, Welcome to the forum, The gasket set from Mdina, for Dell Orto, covers multiple carbs and potentially contains o-rings and seals not need...

Re: 6-pole switch vs 5-pole
Hi Hombre, The 6 pole has two positions in which key can be removed (OFF and PARKING LIGHTS) , the five pole has only one position (OFF) in which the key can be removed. To make it work if its possible but the key could fall out when you put the switch to lights on! Unfortunately the green and blue ...

Re: Aluminium head gasket
>Benjy Straw reckons 350 head gaskets will be ok. Once running carbon build up will fill the slight space. I rely on his expertise. Yes I don't see why not, fairly sure all other dimensions are otherwise the same, its only 3mm, or 1.5mm each side oversize, likely will coke up pretty quickly? Mark

Re: gearing
The 2 marking is for oversize, meaning 0.2mm or first oversize, measurements would confirm this.

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
Look on thr Dutch Morini site for a diy coil rewind. Not difficult, a bit tedious, I doubt the old coil former is salvageable. ah Ming you are very modest, this splendid article is exactly what the O.P would need to rewind the bobbin. The antique grinder a stroke of genius. Based on that I think th...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
[/quote] Mark, Is not the white wire the 'earth' for the stator? Does this not attach to the transducers to ensure they are directly connected to the other end of the winding? Mr Fast appears to have 250k Ohms from Green to his clip on the barrel but 300 Ohms from the green to white. Shouldn't he ge...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
With everything disconnected resistance measurements between green and all yellows and red these should all be open circuit. If available an insulation tester should be used to confirm. Any competent winding company should confirm the insulation tests pass. Mark All wires disconnected and ignition ...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
Hi Mike I am sure you know this as do many but I am repeating this for the benefit of others who may read this later. If d.c 12V d.c is on the green wire and the motor is kicked over this puts the thyristors into terminal conduction and causes failure of both CDI boxes. 12v d.c across the green of t...
