Re: Bogging down/ rough running problem

Sometimes the following can cause symptoms like you describe, as they cause the ignition timing to fire earier and later than the setting in a random way. 1. Center of pickup rotor gets loose in the rotor. 2. Woodruff key on camshaft belt pulley wears. 3. Cam belt wears beyond the allowable slack. S...

Re: Front Sprocket - What are we using?

Thanks for the help. May have to wait a bit, Mdina are temporarily out of stock of new 520 (and 530) fronts, and on the phone he said he's trying to source some new ones. The used ones he has, he said are not good. Wondering where he would get them from :D

Re: atomiser/needle jet 260U for VHB/VHBZ

Eurocarb in Pangbourne have supplied me heaps of parts for the flat slide dellorto carbs, including atomizers close to what I wanted, and as John said, they are fairly easy to drill extra holes to get what you want.

Re: Front Sprocket - What are we using?

I've found the part numbers for the 530 and 520 front sprockets, but nobody seems to have any available. Unless you know different.

Re: Front Sprocket - What are we using?

I don´t know the part number. But yes, the front sprockets for 250T, 500 and 501 are the same. 250T and 500 share the same gearbox with 5 gears, the 501 has 6 gears. I would try to find a 520 Kit. The 530 back sprocket is stamped 1022 - 45 they are available new. Not sure about what would be stampe...

Re: Front Sprocket - What are we using?

Is the 500 front sprocket the same as the 501 front sprocket? (I mean apart from one being 530 width and the other 520 width).
What is the Morini part number?

Front Sprocket - What are we using?

Hi Guys,
I already have some answers locally but I thought I'd ask people who are running the 500, so a quick question to the masses;
What are we using for front sprockets? and where are we buying them?

Re: Twin disc master cylinder

If you want something Italian from the same era I think Brembo master cylinders fitted to 350/500 Ducatis etc would be about the same piston size. If you are not fussed then several people on this forum have been satisfied with japanese /Chinese ones :-)

Re: Scotland - Glen Coe meet September 2022

Everyone who has contacted me direct, thanks. It's nice to see interest in this one, and probably it will start by meeting south of the glen on the Saturday morning and having a ride-in to a specified place in the glen, then meet up with anyone who has gone direct to the glen. Followed by the usual ...

Re: Milano out of hibernation

It does seem to be a recurring problem. Morini have fitted different versions since the first version. Was there an intermediate rubber mounted plate between the steel arm and the plastic "slate" ?
Would love to see a photo of what you have done to fix it :-)

Sounds obvious and you may have already tried them, but the uk del'orto place in Pangbourne might be a good starting point.
