Re: ATG 363 now online

Lack of comments makes me think I haven't confused enough people...

Re: Alternative Handlebars

My local bike shop used to have a large selection of different bends in stock, I’ve not looked in that corner for ages but surely that’s the first place to look?

Re: Dart front tyres again

Argh My mistake, I must have misinterpreted the jottings on the back of a business card but the standard size is 110/80 R16 and that’s the size only Heidenau appear to make, and most local dealers are not stockists. Bridgestone and Pirelli make a 110/90, and I think a 120/80 so that’s the choice mos...

Dart front tyres again

Is anyone out there running 100 / 90 R16 or 110 / 90 R16 Fronts on a Dart? My local tyre man claims he cannot find a fitment by which I think he means a manufacturer listing a Morini Dart front tire, or a 100 / 80 R16. I've done some research and many of the websites claiming to provide specs for al...

Re: New to me mk1 Camel in OZ.

Air filters? They are dry as standard. They should be replaced, but can be cleaned and reused either (traditionally)in petrol or with an air line. Do not use oil.

Re: New to me mk1 Camel in OZ.

Stainless filter in the sump, that I’d pay to see. There is a washable plastic strainer and replacing that with metal does not strike me as wise if that is being offered. Why do people always think stainless is a universal panacea for all purposes. Far better off with regular oil changes.

Re: Pressed early double drum side panels

Don't forget the mk3 side panels as fitted to k models, they came from the factory on bikes with no tail fairings and also on k and k1 models with both types of tail fairings.

Re: Rocker adjuster screws - a plea!

What you need for improved pickup is a set of original mk1 rods with the super lightweight small diameter big end studs, every little helps and you are not looking at prolonged high speed running. Plus lighter weight oil. The crank gallery is filled with it so going down 10w must be like lightening ...

Re: New to me mk1 Camel in OZ.

Just to make you sad, in this months Bike mag Hugo Wilson visits the Novegro swap meet and buys a NOS mk1 Camel rear guard for 30 euros, photos and everything.

Re: Shepton Mallet Show

I've just seen on twitter that the organisers have postponed the show, with a new date of 23-24 Feb identified. Best to check before making any firm commitments but I am sure the club will be looking for bikes to display on the new dates.
