Hi everybody,
Thanks for the prompt replies. I have found a place in Bratford who will also make an exhaust. I will also try the other people mentioned and when done I will post some pictures. I presume once one has been made it will be cheaper and easier to make another.......

Dart Exhaust
Anybody had an exhaust system made for their Dart? I am looking to have one made in stainless and wonder if there are any recommendations of manufacturers etc. I do not have the time or equipment to make a decent job and would prefer to help an engineering company in these recessionary times. I quit...

Re: Isle of Man......
Grrrrrrrrrr.... Makes me want to emigrate...... with the Morini of course, at least exports of Morini parts aren't banned yet. This country is being run by clueless idiots. What next? English visitors to Scotland wont be able to have free healthcare? Sorry for the rant, wrong site.

Membership Renewal - Affiliate Cards
Hi, I have just renewed my subs and the Membership card has been returned promptly, thank you, however the BMF expiry date is 31st December 2009 and the MAG 30/04/2010. Is it possible to ask these organisations to expire our affiliations on 31st October each year? Mind you, I have never used them an...

Re: ATG
The editor asked for comments - I think it is a good looking magazine now. Well done. I recently moved house and found some late 80s mags, they could have been mistaken for 21st Century, except the hair styles in the monochrome pictures. Is there a cost implication? On the latest issue, it would be ...

Crash Bobbins
Try this as a winter thought provoker........ Was just wondering if crash bobbins could do more damage than they could save? I can understand if the bike is sliding they would act a a sacrificial point to wear down, but would be worried about them either becoming a pivot to flip the bike or if the b...

Sorry about your ankle, hope you will be darting about soon. My Dart is on the road but I have not had much opportunity to ride it this year, preferring my new toy for the longer jaunts, especially 2 up. This winter I intend replacing the exhaust (as well as sorting a couple of little niggles), mayb...

Hi, The brake only has the pistons on one side and the caliper slides when the pad on the pistons side contacts the disc to pull the other pad to the disc. Check that the caliper has not seized on the pins. Copper grease is good (IMHO, but I'm sure some engineering degreed people would disagree). I ...

The Morini is a bit sick so took the Honda instead. A nice sunny day with a run from Alnwick to Carter Bar with my son on the pillion. Arrived at Carter Bar just after noon and the weather was glorious. Views across southern Scotland and northern Englan for miles, and even the sheep wanted to make f...

Hi, It only doesn't work in a 1,000 rpm band. It is running rich. Probably not related. If I can get that sorted I will be happy. I will be trying the standard airbox too. I had this problem on an earlier Sport where somebody had fitted a 2-1 and decided to jet up. It needed jetting down! It then pu...

<100 Main jets for VHBZ25 carbs - wanted.
Hi,
I have some spare jets (108 and 115). Anybody got anything around 96 (or smaller) for a swap?
thanks,
regards,
Mike.

Hi Mark, I am running RamAir filters with 100 MainJets and it is still running rich (pipe is sooty). With 108s it would not rev above 4500. There is a terrible hole from about 3500 to 4500, although it pulls well from small throttle openings and revs to the red line. I am going to try a standard air...

Hi Paul, Thanks for the info. I have decided to keep the old Morini and will look elsewhere for a Beemer replacement. I have heard horror stories of the newer BMWs not being up to standard, so will be looking to the East. It is a shame that Morini have designed what looks like a good quality product...
