Re: 350 Exhaust Options

Simon, I do have an unused 350 stainless two into one exhaust that Harymuffin of this parish made up for me a few years back, I had no sooner got it when a Valentini system fell in my lap and I used that, so the Harry one never got near the bike, but is in my shed and I will probably never use it. I...

Re: 501 Ignition timing

Mark,
Just a thought, but what are you now running, air filter wise?
When I had it, I was doing a lot of track work and had conventional carbs to air box rubbers going up under the tank, with nothing on the ends of them.
If Denis put filters on it would change the carb settings quite a lot.

Re: 501 Ignition timing

Mark. Benjy's details are in the club mag, ATG, Mobile is 07771 554570 If you think a Sachs ignition might be the way to go, you will need to be quick, the order is going in shortly. Only thinking 40 year old electrical components are getting somewhat old, something is wrong somewhere. Shame Paul Co...

Re: 501 Ignition timing

Something is wrong there Mark, when I had the bike it was an easy starter, in fact I would always take that one out rather than my NLM ignitioned one because I could always rely on it starting. (that changed when I put that one back to standard ignition and it became a pussycat) I'm wondering if the...

Nipples

I have noticed that the stainless Grimeca bleed nipples have been out of stock for a long time now, is there any chance of getting another batch made? They seem to be unobtainable anywhere else.

Re: FRONT BRAKE

My 79 Sport has twin discs, but still does not have much feel to the brakes, would a smaller cylinder be appropriate for twin discs?

Re: Skim front drum brake.

I know of a couple of blokes in Kent who can do it, it's pointless doing it without the wheel being built anyway, it will distort again when the rim is trued. It always helps to know where you are located.

Re: NLM Ignition

I had one on a 350/501 special, had it set up by Alex because I couldn't reliably start the bike, still no better, it needs a really fast kick to get the bike to go, with the 501 engine, I couldn't spin it fast enough, got it set up by a well known auto electrician/ morini person, same result. The d...

500 main bearing

Does anyone have any numbers or possible replacements for the 500 LHS main bearing, the one with a split inner race?
They seem to be unobtainable.

Thanks
