Im finishing off a 501 engine and need to put the lid on it. I have 2 unmatched rocker covers - a standard 350/500 type and a chrome slotted 501 type, so Im looking for either, to end up with a matching pair, or can swap you!
Also, less urgently a pair of 350/500 forks

Re: Ignition "Transducers"
Ive done both the MC Piston rally and the MC Indianos Colombres rally twice, and always on my 500/5 - much prefer the later Colombres event I always take a pair of spare transducers, a pick-up, brake & clutch lever, handful of nuts and bolts, zipties, and tools inc socket and extension to reach ...

Re: Morini SEI 500 1982
You have the correct kickstart for a displacer/ Its the same as the 350, which you will need, unless you like welding the digestive-biscuit like material that Tarozzis are made from every time you kickstart it. NLM sell the displacers which are a great fit

501 barrels onto earlier crankcases
Having built up a bottom-end using some old 500 crankcases I had kicking around, I discovered with a foul oath that although the stud-spacing is fine, the liners of the 501 barrel/top-end i intended using, wont fit into the crankcase mouths. I never even imagined this would be an issue, and dont rec...

Re: Spitting back through carburettors at 4.5k rpm
Danomar I havent yet investigated this. The very specific revs that it happens at (4500rpm) could well be ignition? Ive raised the needles last night to see if it's fueling but leaking fork-seals stopped play It Must Be... I tried 250 float valves and a lower needle but every time I opened the throt...

Re: Spitting back through carburettors at 4.5k rpm
Thanks for your replies guys. Very helpful. Norbert, Id 'collected' your old jetting settings before from this Forum and saved them, but you had a 50 slide! My 28mm Dellortos have a more-common 40 slide so this latest posting is very useful.. Isnt yours and my Main Jet size MASSIVELY bigger than sta...

Spitting back through carburettors at 4.5k rpm
Im in the process of jetting up a non standard Morini (501 engine in a 350 frame, L cam, gutted airbox, fruity pipes) and it's getting there. Except, at a steady or closing throttle, it spits back audibly through the carbs up under the tank at 4,500rpm ie almost exactly at half-revs. Is this likely ...
