Re: 500 Sport Crankshaft dimensions

The Germans seem to be grinding the drive side crank journal down to 30mm (same as the 350) and then using a standard QJ306 FPAC (four point angular contact) bearing. I've also seen the 350's plain deep grove ball race used, apparently without problems. It's a pretty generously sized bearing in the ...

Re: carb issue

The enrichment lever raises a plunger that not only uncovers the end of the starter jet, but also uncovers an air passage to give a fast idle.

Re: Oil filter conundrum !

It's often forgotten how much better modern fuel is for engine longevity. It may not be the best for old fuel systems, but oil stays much cleaner and when was the last time you had to do a de-coke? The Lead additives were really bad for oil and wore engines out, they were just a quick and cheap way ...

Regarding big end shells if you do have to replace then get ones originally made and fitted to the Fiat 500 cars, As we have been over several times, the compatible Fiat big end shell is from the four cylinder 600, but only the version of the made up to 1959. Hi all. New member, new Morini owner, first post. I've never owned ( or ridden, for that matter ) a Morini until now. I recently 'acquired' a Morini 3.5 Strada ( I think ?, definitely not a sport ). When I say acquired it was amongst some bikes I purchased from a deceased estate. Interesting bike w...

Re: Won't turn over after winter rest

I obtained a set of DDD pistons and supplied a set barrels for Pete Farrel's race bike. They were to replace the worn out 375 (366cc) originals. I think he found them a significant improvement.

I've been leaning towards increasing the slide cut away as a better solution, but new slides are expensive. Old ones can be modified.

Re: Veglia speedo repair

adjusted the damping etc so that pointer (needles) do not jump about Charles At least in the electronic tachometers and I don't think the mechanical Veglias are any different, there is no adjusting of the damping, except by using a different oil. The oil is in a cup beneath the lower shaft bearing....

Seriously folks-has anyone started 3D printing these yet? I'm in the market if so. The file for my design is floating around somewhere and people have printed their own. I know you have one of my coil bobbins. I had those printed by https://www.3dprint-uk.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAhP2BBhDdARIsAJEzXlE2sX...

When replacing the head, new nylocs should be used and the specified torque is for oiled threads.

Re: Cagiva Freccia fairing set for sale

I sounds like you have C10/C12 bodywork. The Dart uses mostly C9 bodywork, except for the front side panels, which have the radiator exit duct reversed and used as a scoop for the aircooled V-twin. https://curiosando708090.altervista.org/cagiva-freccia-c9c10c12-19871990/ C10/C12 bodywork will of cou...

Re: 250 2c

I am rebuilding my 250 2c which is a 1983 model. The rectifier has six connections and the 350 seems to have only 5.If I want to convert to 12v how would I wire up the 350 rectifier please? There are only three wires that matter on the factory rectifier. The two Yellow wires are the inputs from the...

Re: R/H side cover needed

A cush drive was incorporated into the Excalibur starters prior to the switch to Kokusan ignition and front mounted gear drive starter. I've also found it on a late 500 Sei and may well have been used on other models. The assembly just fits in place of the original sprocket. Here's an image taken fr...

Re: R/H side cover needed

Yes, it does help if you have the parts listings for your model, many of which are in the members area of the club website.

The part number for the pre cush drive starter sprocket is 11.03.24

Herdan appear to have them in stock.

Your missing teeth could be welded up and re-cut.
