Re: Anyone recognise this?? New to Morini.

I meant the old style revcounter which is about 1-2 cm in height, much sought after for classic racers. An S below the front cilinder is indeed a Sport

Re: Anyone recognise this?? New to Morini.

For as far as I know all older 350's have an A, whether it's an older engine or the later one with the plain crank bearing, only difference can be the S on the other side below the front cilinder. Never saw an S on the left side though. C is for Excaliburs and X for Kanguro's. R and W for 500's, R a...

Re: Anyone recognise this?? New to Morini.

There is a heavily tuned 350 here in Italy with 500 barrels that's 498 cc (so I am told), so maybe it is a 500. Did you check the cam timing, maybe there's a nice surprise in there too

Generator rotor not from an electric start model unless someone has removed the ring.
Yes Gilardoni's, rotor is from an early 350, you can't mix this with a later alternator

Re: Anyone recognise this?? New to Morini.

Excaliburs have those barrels too, the spaces left out are for silencing rubbers, judging by the number of fins it's a 350 (12 as 500-501's have 14, head and cilinder together)

Ah okay, I thought this was about your X-scape. Talking reliability, my Scrambler is now at 56000 kms, only thing I changed was the regulator :)

Re: Eicma

I was overtaking a line of cars on the two lane A19 betwixt York and Thirsk and as I accelerated I felt a very high frequency vibration. I stopped further up the road to fill up and a guy came over and said my number plate was missing. Surprised, I looked and the whole thing had fractured down by t...
