Hello Ming,

Sorry to see you go. Enjoy your retirement.

As Mr 72 says, you experience would prove useful here.

Mike.

Re: Refurbishing carbs, what parts wear

The worn parts have done many miles, more than anybody will put on the old clunkers between now and being banned, so 'stocking up' means fewer for others to obtain with a consequent price rise. Did you horde toilet rolls in 2020? :)

As the discs are floating did you replace the centres as well as the outer disc? The bobbins may be worn?

Re: Lafranconi

I 'acquired' them 'privately'.

They need a bit of work, but I'm looking for a welder before I remove any metal to have a look inside.

Re: Rear suspension

Hello,

Defo not Summer here!

Since the change to Chineese ownership the factory no longer deals direct to customers but via importers.

If you go to motomorini.com and select service you will find the importer in Auckland.

Yes, that is the code. See below - I do not understand whether a K 350 can have either A or K or A/K stamped as there is no explanation on the site. However, my '81 K has a 'K' on the crankcase.

Re: Anyone recognise this?? New to Morini.

Nothing adds up. If it has a K frame then it should have electric start. The engine casing suggests otherwise. The K had more rear set pegs with a linkage to the gear lever. Does it actually have a generator (2 yellow wires)? If it was a racer it might just have a magneto coil for the ignition under...

Notice the water pipe from the cylinder head. Probably means the engine runs leaner, therefore hotter. Hopefully fuel economy will improve, too.
