Re: Excalibur - er, it is rather cute...
erm, I have taken the bike out a couple of times over the weekend - erm, er, oh very well, it handles brilliantly and the engine is excellent, pulling from low revs to high revs - it is low geared though, but I have seen 140 kmh on my private test track at 7,000 rpm.... Had a trip out tonight around...

Re: air filters / what engine do I have?
I believe (and will almost certainly be corrected!) that the later engines developed less power. I think 35hp is the figure quoted. Do the cylinders have Gilardoni cast into them? See pic below of my 1990 Kanguro which has the Gilardoni cast into the barrels and the 500 from 1981 which doesn't. Look...

A 1977 should have electronic tacho. The mechanical came later. Does it matter?

Try The Chain Man for a chain quote.
I would think less than a ton for a set of pads.... the last set I bought for a Brembo were about £20 a disc.

Re: Oil and filters
Use the correct specification oil - 10W60, JASO-MA, SAE- SJ->SL? Anything else and probably either have a slipping clutch or an expensive rebuild. Is it worth mucking around for a few quid each year? My local Suzuki dealer can get the correct Motul for less than £50 for 4 litres. The oil is good for...

Unfortunately I can't as Mark has barred it from entering the site. I'll buy Mark a pint later.
Looks like it'll be the 500 or the Corsaro - bummer....

Dear Marge....
Dear Marge, I am away for the AGM weekend camping in Kent, but have decided to give Saturday a miss and come to the AGM. I believe there is going to be a bike lineup of different models and I would like to bring along one which is not represented. I do have a problem, though, in that my mates will p...

Moto 3
Just watched the Texas Moto 3 race. It is exciting stuff. At the end it gave the max speed of the winner as 227km/h (140 (empeeaithch)- didn't the 1960s Morini racer go nearly that fast? I think these new singles are giving a bit more power, but made me think if we have come far in engine developmen...

Re: Gearbox neutral adjustment
Just got the Excretia running and that shifts perfectly into neutral (especially now that the clutch is adjusted correctly and I have a cable with more than 6 strands..... Why do the left hand change bikes shift good, but the right hand ones not, as the gear shaft is in exactly the same place? Was a...

A C GT - the one that weighs 2 tons at the front because of the 3 litre truck engine and no room for real suspension?

Re: Anyone interested in going to MMItalia 2013 rally?
Hi Sean,
I'm booked up that weekend.
Anybody fancy going next year on the bike?
I think there is a train to Alessandria from NL and then a nice 3 day ride home?
The train station is not far from the venue, I believe.
regards, from mikeinnorthyorkshire
