Hi,
You can always try putting a piece of soft aluminium sheet (about 4mm thick) between the teeth of the primary gears (lower side to undo) and let it tighten between the teeth as you undo the nut. Doesn't cause any damage to the gears, and will allow you to undo the nut.
George.

Exhaust black paint (original factory finish)
Hi All, Have lots of bits with the chromers at the moment, and they are being delayed as they are having trouble getting the coating/paint off the downpipes! (I wanted original style chrome downpipes not black) Yes, the stuff that lets rust form as soon as a cloud appears is resisting 24 hour baths ...

Fork Stanchions – Not quite the same as Pantah
Hi All, Ok, as someone who believed that later Marzocchi (1978 on) 350 and 500 forks were the same, and having read that the Ducati Pantah stanchions were the same as 500 ones, I thought, ok a pair of Tarozzi Pantah stanchions will do my 350 project nicely, and at £160/pair were good value - Rechrom...

Re: Rear Chain on a 350?
just to add further info. O ring chains still need lubricating otherwise the rollers and sprockets wear at an increased rate. Failure to do this leads to a perfectly good chain without several rollers on it and dreadful drive noise when on holiday in Austria. The rollers on the links (the bit that a...

Re: Rear Chain on a 350?
Hi Mark, Firstly the size: the 5 in the number is the pitch,(the distance from roller to roller)1/8" increments, ie = 5/8". The 3 refers to the width, so is 3/8" between the plates. What you want is a '530' chain, 96 pitches long. Whether you want to go o-ring, x-ring etc depends on h...

Re: Rear brake pictures
Hi Paul, I am using the little switch that came with the Tarozzi's and it has worked fine. Regarding the cable, I do remember having to significantly shorten the cable inner to get the brake and switch to operate properly though. I will try and get out to the garage this evening for a photo of my se...

Re: Paoli and Marzocchi fork tube differences
I'm in a similar situation to you at the moment. My searches came up with two suppliers: Tarozzi fork tubes at Wemoto (Ducati Pantah) at £99 each or All Bike Engineering (ABE)in London at £80 each. Allbike tubes are made in England. Both prices are including VAT, but not sure about postage. ABE also...

Re: Lying speedo
Hi, You can ask Ashley Pople, aka 'Speedo Repairs'. Whilst he normally deals with Smiths etc, he may well be able to advise you. Just 2 weeks ago he re-bezelled and glassed my speedo/rev counter for £50 including return post. There are others around who do speedo repairs, but I have always had good ...

Re Tyres: I'm sure everyone has their favourites. For me it is Bridgestone BT45s. Seem to compliment the Morini perfectly. Good grip wet or dry, and last well too. A lot of people like the Avon Roadrider tyres, so it would be good to hear comments from those that use them. The rim profiles are 'WM',...

Re: Clutch Assembly
Hi,
Go plastic. No more grabby clutch. Did mine within a year of buying it and never regretted it. Same thrust bearing just gone back in even though it has done around 75000 miles.
Cheers,
George.

Re: 350 cylinder head air flow Part II
Good luck in dealing with all the extra heat that this power gives you. Remember every extra 10HP means an extra 15kW of heat to get rid of. I feel you would need watercooling. You could look at lopping a quarter off of a Honda CBR600 or 600 Hornet head, then you would have a high flow 4-valve water...

Rear lamp mount plate
Hi, Does anyone have a "scrap" rear light that still has the inside bits in it? I'm in need of the plate that holds the rubber bulb holder to the main housing that also has the threaded holes that the mounting bolts screw into. Hopefully this link to a picture will show what I need. http:/...

Re: Any hints and tips on setting up the Twin-Leading Shoe?
OK, what follows is how I used to set up the 2LS brake on my old racing Bantam, but the process should be the same for the Morini. Use a front wheel stand to get front wheel clear of floor so it can rotate. (or use jack under front of frame, but this is not as safe). Slacken off the cross link so th...

Hi and welcome aboard. Nothing wrong about the frame/engine number - mine look very similar. Both of mine ae A/3---. The fact that you have an engine number suggests it is a UK (Harglo imported) bike, as these are often not on direct Italian imports, other people can confirm or correct me on that. I...

Hi, You can try Allbike Engineering in Greenwich, London. http://www.allbikeengineering.co.uk/index.html They list Morini stanchions, but their website hasn't got prices. Others on here say Ducati Pantah stanchions are the same, while Allbike say 5mm shorter. 5mm is neither here or there in reality....
