norbert wrote: 18 Sep 2022 20:04 There is no logic at all, it just shows you, that you have turned the key, and burns meanwhile your battery is not dead.
Using it for the indicators is much more reasonable
I suppose it functions as a reminder to turn the key off when it has stalled at tickover!

Re: idiot lights

The "red" ignition light, however, simply stays illuminated after start up and when the engine is running at battery charging speed or above. My question is, is this normal? Or is it indicative of a charging fault somewhere? Yes, completely normal - scared the crap out of me until I asked...

350 Engine Stand - Free!

Not me but if you want one of these there is a guy called Peter Male (ex MRC I think) giving one away in Tenbury Wells. He says he made it when he was rebuilding his bike. For me it's too far to go, or pay postage for, for something I don't need (yet!). Search under "Moto Morini 350 Engine Stan...

Re: Tyres

I went through the tyre game last year. The choices for decent quality tyres (i.e. ignoring Chen Shin or similar) seems to be BT46s, Avon Roadrier 2s or Conti Go. Each have their adherents. I went for the Avons as they were well regarded and significantly cheaper. The only hassle is that they are an...

Re: Exhaust heat shield

Meanwhile, I'm off to see if I can find some rocking horse poo - got to be easier than finding another heat shield.... Not as good as the original ones but you can get generic ones on ebay for little more than a fiver that clamp on with hose clips. Saves burning holes in your trousers/ boots whilst...

Re: Busbar- 350 sport front connector box?

A less elegant solution, but better than nothing, would be piggy back connectors. These are connectors that go onto the spade but also have a spade on their back for the other connector. A short term fix whilst hunting the proper part?

Re: 1976 Sport RH side panel

I nearly suffered the same on the A5 a few qeeks back. Felt something on my leg and looked down to see a horizontal side panel. Fortunately caught it and had a cable tie to hand to secure it. Hence my recent post on sidepanel knobs!!

Re: Anyone in Straya looking for a 3½ Sport?

Thanks both, all very interesting. Price comparisons with another country's marketplace are slippery - you just can't do it. Vehicles in NZ hold a relatively higher value as every one was shipped here at one time. C It was just curiosity. Does explain the logic of a mate of mine shipping his bike ov...

I intend to visit the Guzzi museum as well, so thanks for the encouragement.
Good luck with this! It seems to be open for short periods on most Friday and Saturdays, but not all, and never in August. Or they may change their mind. I have several photos of me outside the gate!
