I have never understood why they need one choke to start. Mine is the same. Either one will do it but never both. There must be a sensible answer???

I'm all for a bargain but I think you've missed a trick on the exhaust spanner. The ones made and sold via the forum are way better than any ordinary C spanner. They grip several castellations rather than just one and do not lift, slip or round off.

The cylinder heads look like they've been stored on The Thistlegorm! How do you let them get that bad? Are they reclaimable?

Yes, ATG arrived today. Initially I was grumpy that the Dec issue had just landed but looking at the work that must have gone into it I'm amazed we got that at all!

Well if it runs and ticks over you are high up there in the don't complain, it could be worse category!

I'm sure you know but if you are in any doubt about how long ago the engine ran or when the cambelt was changed that's a priority before anything else.

Aside from electrical issues, using a LHS kickstarter requires some adjustment so here's my advice for getting the best kick. With the bike on the centre-stand and LH enricher/choke up, I straddle the bike with my right foot on the passenger footrest and kick it. No throttle needed. That way my wei...

I hate throwing stuff away but even for me that's a tough call.

That said, the RH side looks solid so I guess cut in half and mounted it could make a bit of garage art.
