I agree the standard is fundamentally good, but it has plenty of weak spots, connections, fragile pick-ups etc. I suppose it's because it is a very basic early version of the type? I wouldn't mind trying the new pick-up you have-if only for the lower idle and hopefully more robust construction. Have...

No, that's a new one on me, it looks pretty good till you read it needs 12v from the battery. The question then is how much current does it draw? I suppose the coil choice affects this some, but on older 350s at least, there isn't much spare electric juice after you switch your lights on and certain...

Almost certainly, if you use a bearing shop rather than a bike shop they will be able to tell you all the options available in that bearing size.
Don't fret over it though, as long as the standard seal arrangement is in order it should last for years again as long as you avoid the jet wash!

Hi, my name is Steve Brown, I was a member from 1977 to about 1990 ish. I had a 3 1/2 sport, VVS 27S that I did about 100k miles on before it went to it's next home with one Andy Mc Cutcheon. Does Andy still have the bike? does it exist still? I know it was still around about 5 years back but would ...
