Re: 2023 AGM
Just wanted to add my thanks for organising the event. I thought the evening meal was very good too. Bread and butter pudding seemed the right choice back when the weather was less like Cordoba.( OK not that hot but I don't wear bike gear when there) The shower room was by Sunday an opportunity not ...

Re: Cast wheel colour id
I used RAL1036 for my gold rear wheel. If they had removed all traces of blast material it would be a good job.Do not mention disc mounting bolt holes.
My sprocket carrier bearing had broken up too.

Re: Electric Starter parts needed
I also use a syringe to refill the starter gearbox on my 350. I have a screw in plug and badly fitting rubber push in plug. In the Blue book p28 it describes checking the oil level with the motor still in the side cover. I have always done it after removing the motor from the case, remove both plugs...

Re: H4 bulbs can I swap for an LED bulb
Keep up John! Reading the latest MOT guidance the year of manufacture limit for the motorcycle ( converted to LED) has been removed. The light pattern must pass of course.

Re: H4 bulbs can I swap for an LED bulb
I have had instrument bulb holders drop out when hitting a pothole so not unusual. Pity about that light pattern. My concave Cibie is fine, or it was last time I rode a distance in the dark. Another bike has twin 35W bulbs. Seems a bit pathetic too . I did not update to LED on that bike because it’s...

Re: Connecting Carbtune Manometer to Inlet Manifold
I find with a bit of care you can get very close to throttle slides lifting together by ear and feel. The main thing is sufficient slack at the carb top adjusters then gradually reduce it (but not so you can here the motor rev.) I do use a carb balancer on my bikes but it is never far out. I have ba...

That will of course be 85 mph on a private road. Accuracy at 20 mph will be increasingly important I think. Oh well......

Re: Fuel taps and correct usage thereof
I do not think having both taps open ought to negatively affect the running at any speed because the carbs control fuel metering. On the other hand at prolonged high speed travel it can be advantageous to open both taps to reduce the risk of fuel starvation. My electrotap at present has sufficient f...

Re: Grabbing clutch - grrr!
I went three times back in 2007-2009 when at Columbres, though on a R60/7. Good times. Ought to go again, it is only a hop and a skip down to Plymouth too.

Re: Grabbing clutch - grrr!
My 350 clutch which I put a new clutch pack in about 16 years ago has worked well. On my other Morini, a Coguaro the clutch was nowhere as pleasant in action with judder and an on/off action. The concave plate was flat. My original old pack from the 350 and subsequently a new one made a great improve...

Re: Sump plug
I have not been there of late but the major Belgian Roads had some impressive holes which you had to steer around. For me dappled sunlight through tree lined roads are the worst for spotting potholes.
Bridgestones are good, I currently use Avon Roadrider Mk2.

Re: H4 bulbs can I swap for an LED bulb
Also have a look at Paul Goff’s site http://www.norbsa02.freeuk.com/ My Sport should have had the rectangular light but that came as a spare, the bike being fitted with the concave Cibie unit. The only longish night riding I have done was in very dark France and it performed well. At present it is r...
