Re: How many New Yorks in the USA?
I emailed him and got very excited...until I got quotes for shipping it. The cost of importing (not just shipping, but bringing it over for good) is beyond what I can reasonably spend on it. I felt like the Lord just drew a line through one of the items on my bucket list.

Arrgh! Don't tell me that...I can only imagine how much it costs to ship a bike from The Netherlands to the U.S.Tom wrote:And Hans from The Netherlands has one for sale: hombre@xs4all.nl

If there's a separate U.S. Morini owners' club, they keep a very low profile. I've certainly not found out about them yet.

Re: USA Only: Which Oil?
You're going to have a tough time finding anything below SL grade, since SH and earlier are classified as "obsolete." https://http2.mlstatic.com/aceite-motul-5100-15w-50-D_NQ_NP_113215-MCO25149812312_112016-F.jpg You can buy Swiss Motorex 15W50 SG in the USA, but good luck finding it local...

Re: Regrets - I've had a few
T160v, SVH 681P I know it's still around and of course the current owner is only really borrowing it after a weak moment back in 1980. I've still got a clutch puller for it too. All new pistons barrels big ends and main bearings after it threw a rod. Piper 3 into 1..... Oh lamentable day..... I oft...

Re: Regrets - I've had a few
I bought a new left-over '79 Bonneville for $2495 my senior year of high school. Money got tight in college and I sold it to one of my professors. Stupid, stupid, stupid. The other one was an original '64 Bultaco Matador Mk 1. I also regret never buying any of the Morinis I've seen for sale over the...

I'm Pete, from Kansas City, Missouri USA. I've been lurking for years, but never registered since I am not an owner. Finally signed up a couple of months ago. I've had a place in my heart reserved for Lambertini's v-twins since I first read a review of the 500 Sport in the October 1980 issue of Ride...

Shopping for a Morini in the U.S.
I am on the lookout for a Heron-head bike located in the US or Canada. Willing to consider any size, style, model year and condition. Okay with a basket case or even individual major parts that would allow me to cobble together a bitsa. I'm located in Kansas City. Just putting out feelers here becau...

How many New Yorks in the USA?
Over the years, I have found lots of 3-1/2s, 500s and even a few 250s, Camels and Excaliburs for sale, but I've never seen a New York offered in North America. Are they really that rare? My first love is the Sports and Stradas, but I like cruisers and if I were to find a New York, I'd HAVE to make i...
