i have been looking for a replacement stator for morini's, ended up with a aprillia scooter stator that just slots into the morini, only to find out the aprilia uses a six magnet rotor.
i'm still looking for a replacement, the diameter of the stator is pretty standard, and scooter parts are cheap.

Re: New Owner with 501XE Camel
Nice update , most of the points you found i have had with my morini's too , setting up the clutch is pretty critical , and even then the ones on my morini's tend to drag when hot. ( tight tracks when off roading) you will get used to finding neutral when still riding. I gave up on the 6 volt system...

M7 was widely used in citroen cars, your friendly Citroen garage can supply m7 fasteners (and M9!)
Re: new toy
the road models i have do have the electric tap.
but the early off road models have a weird combined 6v/12v sytem , with a 12 volt headlight running straight from the regulator , and a 6 volt battery for stop lights etc...
those lack the 12 volt battery to run the electric solenoid.

Re: Rear caliper seals k1 k2
if you run out of sources,
i run homemade stainless brake pistons with EPDM o-rings for seals in my morini's , has been working fine for years.
if you have the ariete number , any motorcycle/scooter shop should be able to order the kits for you.

Re: new toy
these castle nuts can be stupidly stuck ,
best to get /make a properly fitting tool, the nuts are pretty soft, so easy to damage.

Re: Speedometer Cable Outer
TLM.nl quotes the exact length of the guzzi speedo cables in their webshop,
so you should be able to find which one fits.

Re: Winter ride
I ride the year round too, But to be honest the moto guzzi's ( V65 lario and V75NTX) get all the winter miles. my morini 350, bought in 1983 for winter use to avoid getting the norton commando dirty, has since been restored and has turned into a nice weather ride.. daily transport is for the bikes ,...

the disk brake front wire wheel is actually a pretty rare option on a morini
i have seen them on 350 sports , with borrani rims ,

Re: electronic rev counter 350 Sport...
i had a friend fit another printed circuit board in a morini rev counter , because he could not find the original semiconductor so could not repair the original PCB. apparently it is a simple device converting pulses to a raising voltage. but the internals of any rev counter ( for a single ) should ...
