Hi all , anybody aware of a list of bearing and oilseal codes for a 350 engine? found in the back of the shed enough parts to build at least one engine, i would love to order all the bearings and seals before stripping the engine , to avoid a bunch of parts sitting on the workbench for weeks. Oh , i...

Re: Difficult 3rd to 4th gear change
pretty typical of gearbox damage , how old is the engine?
early 350 engines had alloy selector forks , which tend to wear out.

Re: Headlight Upgrades - Blast from the past
you can also fit a LED headlight bulb in the original reflector.
look for 3000K color , they are a nice golden color.
as they pull less amps than stock they also keep your stock switches from burning
especially if you have a older 350

Re: 1975 3-1/2 main switch question
- there is no power at position 5 to green wire in any of the two switch ' ON' positions. there shouldnt be any power to the green wire in any of the switch positions people tend to destroy the transducers trying to bring 12 volt to them. the ignition is self generating , so works completely indepe...

Re: cam belt sizing
i just had a belt snap on a camel,
it was a couple of years old , but only was used for 1000 km.
i should have known better.
the crank pinion is smaller than what is recomended by the manufacturers,
hence the need for regular replacement

Re: Rec counter cable for an X3
on the TLM website the length of the guzzi cables are mentioned in the description
so do a search on "tt kabel" and choose the cable nearest to the correct length

Re: charging system
also running the bike with a dead battery or without a battery is possible,
nice for a emergency,
but doing so without disconnecting the generator will usually blow the regulator.

i've had excellent service from these guys https://www.thn.nl/en/ Just make sure you know exactly what you want, and they can provide the rings. usually cheaper than OEM too. i have a couple of oddball engines where spares dried out decades ago, they have been able to provide what is needed so far. ...

my 75 strada and sport came without the dished plate from the factory, so no harm done'.
for the gearchange I would have a close look at the tarozzi and the gear lever,
on my morini's finding neutral at a standstill is difficult. I learned to change into neutral while still riding.

Re: new toy
i am not aware of a special tool , i ground a old 3/8 socket to fit the slot.
having said that , they can be a pain to remove the first time .
add copper grease when refitting them prevent the same happening again.

a couple of pics from a recent off road riding holiday in spain , great place... where in the netherlands off road riding is virtually banned , the forests in spain are accessible. we did up to 150 km/day off road, hardly using any paved roads. my camel is basically stock, the mods are: a set of kno...
