How can the steering lock be removed undamaged?

I'd like to remove my Kanguro's steering lock, ideally without destroying whatever's holding it in place as I doubt I can obtain replacements. The bike's an X (or X0 if you prefer) i.e. with a front drum brake. I don't have a key for it. I've attached a photo of it FYI. Advice welcome. Bonus points ...

Re: 3 1/2 FOR SALE

For anyone interested in the bike, here's a link to the advert https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/570634804542926/ I've seen this bike (or at least one very similar) for sale several times over the last few years. If it's the one I remember it was sold by NLM several years ago before they clo...

Re: Anyone in Straya looking for a 3½ Sport?

Just out of idle interest and for comparison, what are the prices? 12,000 NZD + 15% buyer's premium for a 1975 Moto Morini 3 1/2 https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/classic-vintage/moto-morini/listing/3683286157?rsqid=6d57e53b047d4267bc36d1de1335b5b2-001 and that's the lower bo...

Re: Anyone got one?

Thats all my RS cost, not too many years ago. Big K series are hard to sell. I am determined to get a test ride on an Xcape before long. Just checking, was it a K100RS? or an R100RS as you'd previously posted? Anyway, I'd be tempted to have a K100RS at some point if only I had much more garage spac...

Suitable replacement rear shock absorbers for New Yorks and Excaliburs

In case anyone else ever needs this information apart from me, I can recommend a pair of YSS eco line classic shocks. The model I bought is the RE302-320T-05S-88 and they're a mid-range quality and more finely adjustable than the originals. They're also slightly lighter (no I didn't weigh them to ge...

Sold because the faster you went the better it felt. Until you tried to stop quickly.
So on balance a very tempting bike. Gold wheels look good.
£900? where? :)

The handling is superb. It does 60mph at about 4,000 rpm. There are some vibes but not uncomfortable. The...

This is also listed in ATG, issue 378, which arrived in the post today. I agree it's beautiful. I've not seen one in these colours before.

Re: Bikes for sale

Hi All, My father is looking to downsize his Morini collection, there are several bikes ripe for restoration and a hoard of parts to help you along the way. He's not on the forum as such, but can be reached on 01743 340389 or 07496 773014, ask for Barry. Bikes/parts are in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, U...

Morini047 wrote: 09 Jun 2022 18:56 I finally solved the leak on the oil seal. The problem was in the brass pix entering the bearing everything was eccentric and this caused the oil seal to strain and oil to leak.
Congratulations, and thank you for explaining how you fixed the issue.

Re: :-( Selling up :-(

A quick update. I took advantage of Ming's kind offer and enjoyed various local cheeses and wine with him and his wife last weekend. He's sold the K2 and the Strada to a local chap who was delighted to discover the Morinis. I rode the 250C which was lovely and far nicer overall than Ming described. ...

There's one up for auction, in July, https://www.handh.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-1982-moto-morini-500-sei-v/?lot=55810 with an estimate of £3k to £4k. Several have sold this year so there seem to be some about... Good luck. I've a couple of 501's including one in a 350 K1 frame, it's physically smaller ...

Thanks Mark, does It matter which yellow wires are connected ? Also do you know which 12v battery fits the tray it's only 60mm wide? Regards Hugh The yellow wires are interchangable, the AC voltage is generated across any pair of them (I think you only have one pair). The rectifier in the regulator...
