Re: Handling
Low or high speed? Low predominantly - like going round a small island. Are you running a 100/90 front tyre? 'Standard' 3.25 x 18 (Dunlop K82). However some comments on this topic seem to suggest riding position may be a contributing factor. I have standard footrests and high rise clip-ons - so mor...

Re: Handling
I've got a 1982 K1 which I have always felt uncomfortable cornering - sort of falling into them (I think it would be called oversteer on a car). I have checked the obvious things several times but the feeling persists. Very frustrating when most people are raving about the handling.

Re: Metzeler ME22 fitting
Today, a year later, the very same tester (at the same testing station) failed the bike for having a front tyre fitted on the rear! That's consistency for you. Of course I didn't have the email with me this time. I eventually managed to convince them it was a universal fit (after a phone call to the...

Could be something in that - there's a blue 350 on eBay advertised as red!If you do repaint it I think it's always worth remembering that red ones are faster.

Re: Chains
I've still got a tin of Linklyfe which you stir vigorously and then brush on, but I don't think it's available any longer.
I bought my chain from Andy - if you live anywhere near Bewdley you can visit him at home - he has some interesting stories and opinions.

Re: Chains
I bought a 530 chain for my K1 recently. I chose Iwis because it's German and both Sprockets Unlimited and "The Chain Man" recommend (and supply) it.

Re: 1981 125S - does it exist?
I don't think there is a model 'S' 125. May be an 'H'? It's usual not to have an engine number, but there should be a letter stamped on the crankcase in amongst the fins at the bottom left hand side which identifies the model. I believe the same letter should appear in the frame number which will co...

Re: The K2 carburetter saga goes on
Well I appreciated your atomisers table very much. As an owner of a 250T, I had already established that the pattern of holes in an 'R' is the same as an 'AH' and wondered why the two existed, but Paul seems to suggest that the size of the holes may also vary, which would explain the R/AH but introd...

Re: mudguard question
The plastic front mudguard fitted to the 'K' series could be described as shorter and more sporty. So short in fact that the front of the engine gets no protection at all; I ended up fitting a (home made) mudflap to mine.

Re: 350 parts
As you say, always good to have a spare pick-up. How much are you asking for it, are you prepared to post it, and how do I pay for it (I've never bought/sold anything through the forum)? Thanks.

Re: 350 parts
I realise this post is ancient but do you by any chance still have a carrier/rack for sale? If so, could you post a picture (or send me a PM including it)? I'm particularly interested in one that fits with a 'K' seat and sidepanels (where the top shock absorber bolt is covered up).

Don't suppose you've got a copy of that chart? The link seems to no longer exist.
