Hi Barry
Welcome to the forum. Nice looking bike. Can you tell me anything about the 'prop' stand - I'd like to get one for my 250 single? Maybe post a close-up picture?

Re: Morini 3 1/2 exhaust system - complete
I'm interested if TimG isn't, but I would not be able to collect so would require posting.

Re: Cylinder head exhaust threads
The last time I had an exhaust thread repaired at NLM it was ~150 pounds and they pretty much insisted I bought one of their stainless nuts to ensure fit - another 40 (which turned out to be true as the original bronze nut did not thread nicely into the new port). You might want to check out the wor...

Re: Replacement rectifier / regulator
Yes, I'm still running it on the K1 and it seems to be charging OK. As I said above, you will need 2 larger spade terminals but hopefully Mdina will send them with the unit now they know (then again ...).

Re: Three narf bits
Thanks for the rack measurements. Unfortunately it isn't going to fit without considerable adapting which I'm trying to avoid.

Re: Three narf bits
I'm interested in the rack. Could you post the widths between the fittings and the distance between the front and rear fittings, please (I'm hoping it might fit a 250T)?

Re: top clamp
I had a similar problem on my 350 K1 Sport when I tried a Strada top yoke (so I could fit handlebars instead of clip-ons). I found that the clamp on the 'new' top yoke was about 2mm bigger than the original so, of course, the clamp bolt does nothing. Everything else was the same so not sure why the ...

Re: Alternate source of spares
I replaced the cable on my 1982 K1 with M360143LONGER from NLM which Mdina still list as available (but only 1 left!). The outer is 118cms and the inner 135.5. Note it requires a separate barrel nipple - they assume you still have the old one (which is unlikely if it breaks while riding).

Re: 50cc 2 st scrambler
If this topic is to continue, can I respectfully suggest it moves to another forum as it seems to have nothing at all to do with the 125/250 "Singles"?

Re: Ignition key switch.
On my K1 the ignition switch works as follows:
middle position (off) just 3 and 4 connected
clockwise from off 'parking' lights 3 and 4 still connected plus 1 and 6
anti-clockwise from off (ignition on) 3 and 4 disconnected, 1 and 2 connected plus 5 and 6 connected
Hope that helps.

Re: 350 electric start battery
For the record, I have a 1982 K1 with a Yuasa YTX12-BS 10.5Ah battery which is supposed to have CCA 180. It fits OK and turns the starter but does not 'spin' it and so is NOT a reliable method of starting (it starts pretty much first time using the kickstart). I looked for an alternative but most se...

Re: 12 Volts on the 250
My 2T has been converted using a Branson Powerbox rectifier/regulator but a 12V Ducati should work also (the alternator is similar to the larger bikes). Obviously it needs a 12V battery (although the Branson will work without one at all) and possibly horn and flasher unit. To be honest, even with 12...

Re: speedo cable replacement
I got one made up by them (for a 250 but same fitting I think) by filling in their custom form (plus a few dimensions) and including pictures of both ends (because I did not want to send the old cable). They quoted £37 but actually charged £31.46 inc. P&P. It seems OK but the ferrule at the inst...
