Re: Instrument bezels and glass

Mike, Doug at mdina does list a rubber seal and has stock currently https://www.mdinaitalia.co.uk/instrument-bezel-rubber.html however you'll probably want to check with him whether this is actually suitable for the 88mm veglia rather than the 90mm smiths bezels. What about considering using cord se...

Re: 175 H Supermono

I've just discovered this post (owning a 125 T (the last of the 125 H range)) led me to it :)

Incredible work and the rest of Paolo's videos on vimeo are well worth watching.

PS: I think you still have some Moto Morini spares tucked away in your shed, so you continue to have the soul of Moto Morini close by you :)

Re: Farewell

I agree that your contributions and support remain most welcome. I still remember the photos of your collection of Moto Morinis from a few years ago which inspired me to get to know you and then visit you in June 2022. Your hospitality (and your local food and wines) were well worth the trip to the ...

Re: Club Strada in December Classic Bike

Tom,
I agree, the author of the article mentioned he'd like to obtain a 3 1/2. Let's hope he does manage to do so and also join the club. Similarly, I hope other readers will be inspired - 3 1/2's are fun bikes to ride and maintain.

428 rear sprockets available (JTR485.46)

I've just ordered and received a JT rear sprocket, the JTR485.46, which looks like a pretty good match for the the very worn one that's on my 250 2C I recently acquired. These new sprockets are generally available from various sources online. I've currently got the bike apart while I clean up the fr...

Re: 2024 Calendar - now available to pre order!

I've received my 2024 calendar and it's ready to be used once the New Year starts. Thank you to everyone involved including Dave for selecting the photos and Chris for delivering my copy while he was out for a ride.

Re: Moto Morini Exhaust ring spanners for 350 and 500

Rick,
Thank you for adding these clear photos of the spanner and the fit. I look forward to trying one out on a pair of grumpy 250 2C exhaust nuts, last moved before the millennium bug was a thing!

Re: Welcome new forum members - introduce yourself

Back again. I was a member a few years ago when I had my Camel. I have now bought an early 75 (?) 3 1/2 Sport, wire/drum. It`s now my 5th Morini. 1st was a 125 Corsaro Special then 2 x 76, 3 1/2 Sports, the Camel and now the classic drum 3 1/2 Sport. The bad news is it is in the process of being sh...

Re: Coguaro 350 engine parts.

Robin, did you end up buying the Coguaro? The core engine is interchangable with that of the standard (older) 350. I run a 501 engine with Kokosan ignition and the older LHS clutch casing - so kickstart only - in a 3 1/2 K1 Sport. I'd happily have the LHS casing and starter motor (with all the gubbi...

Re: I will say no one day 🤔

I have some spares for Excaliburs. I ended up with them as part of keeping my New York in good riding health. I also know where there's most of a rolling chassis (and one sold recently on eBay for just over £30 which I have the tank for). Happy to help you keep it on the road. PS: In Italy they're s...

Re: Chain slider

John, I second Mark's encouragement. Tom Farrow and I went to Novegro near Milan on 4th November and we bought several chain sliders there for about 30 euros a piece. They were new copies of the original part. In the Green Lane group (members of the MRC who also ride off road) we had at least 4 peop...

Re: Just stopped!

Hi, I bought a non-runner Morini with no spark and before joining MRC found this guy on YouTube, he says 180 ohms is about as low as you can go. Good luck with getting her going, Budge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWyYDVuvCp8&list=PLhO5dtnkDXSYISuFQBf1cv6xWX-ZS-YIY&index=3 In short, I t...
