Re: Jetting issue?
As I’ve said many times before, its not difficult to diy. The hardest part is finding a coil former. Now 3D printing is becoming more easily available even that should diminish. These are old bikes, supposedly we are enthusiasts, prepared to do a bit moer than expect off the shelf spares.

Re: 250 2c front wheel washer/seal
I may have one. Is it for the large diameter shield (the casting with the ’beak’) or the smaller?

Re: Starter motor chain snapped
Gosh - you must have bought a right old dog judging from the problems you are having! In my experience with a Strada, several Kanguros and a 2C2, an electric starter is nothing but extra weight. The bikes should start easily enough on the kick start - if everything else is right. You seem to have a ...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
I’m glad you appear to have overcome one of the seemingly numerous problems you have found on the 40 odd year old, unknown number of PO bike you bought. Please remember that many of your fellow forum members run / have run one or more Moto Morinis using that same ”crappy” ignition coil and ignition ...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
Re using smaller diameter, self fluxing wire I agree. I think I may have mentioned it towards the end of the article. Whatever, it worked fine. A few 3D printed formers (not a common technology back then) would be no problem for some of our more up to date members, I think. I still have the grinder...

Re: Do I have an ignition problem
Look on thr Dutch Morini site for a diy coil rewind. Not difficult, a bit tedious, I doubt the old coil former is salvageable.

Re: Fly Screen
Hi, I have a Puig flyscreen fitted to a little Yamaha 250 which I find effective. The Yam headlight is 18cm OD, the screen 22cm at the mount points. It fits via the two headlamp mounting bolts. It's easy to fit, but be careful to ensure all mounting holes (for reinforcing plates and headlamp) are fr...

UK / EU withdrawal agreement repercussions
I've just been assisting an old friend who has changed his UK licence for a French one. It turns out that the famous Withdrawal Agreement, supposedly delivering for the UK, forgot to look at the small print, one of the results being that certain licence categories are now not transferable. So my bik...

Re: Stator rewind help needed!
If it’s the ignition coil that needs rewinding, you can do it yourself fairly easily. Basically using some fine copper wire and patience. Have a look on the Dutch Morini Site for full details.

Re: Tre mezzo and 500 section
I was involved on a similar small site in re-ordering posts into more logical sections some years ago. it took quite a long time to decide how to order the sections (mechanicals, electricals, chassis, etc?), but we decided on model designation. Even that involved a great deal of voluntary work. Had ...
