Re: Piston Rings

Pistons don't look too bad, although could do with a brush off.

64mm hmmm, tempting but will need to rebore the cylinder....

I'll have a look at King of Pistons, thanks.

Piston Rings

Following an unfortunate lift home courtesy of the AA, I have now investigated the problem. Broken piston rings. In the absence of any in stock at Mdina, where is a good place to order some? I'm thinking of full sets for front and rear and according to my measurements they are standard 62mm. 1980 St...

Re: Fitting new calliper seals

I haven't tried on the Morini but I tend to put the piston in the freezer for 10 minutes or so and it pops right in.

October Corsaro Section Meet

Apologies for the short notice, however time has run away with me.

Due to the weather (storm Alex) and the rule of six it would not be a good idea for the October Corsaro Section meet to officially go ahead. Hopefully weather and restrictions will ease for next month.

Re: Bike won't start - Sorted now

The Corsaro was fitted with an MF lead acid battery, the ZZ has a lithium battery. Yes they do require different chargers as I believe the charging rates are different. I did find that you need a healthy battery to start the bike, it seems to take a lot of charge to do so. As for the solenoid, one a...

Re: Carb balance

Did mine last week.I used 220mL of 15Wt oil per leg in my 83 K1 as usual. Interestingly one leg produced lovely clean oil and the other produced a filthy grim looking liquid. I run gaiters on the stanchions. Must be something degrading I guess. Speaking of filthy looking grim liquid a bar down the ...

Re: Corsaro section , February meet.

From 12pm, most people get there between 12 and half-past. Occasionally a straggler or two may be a bit later (I've been known to turn up nearer 1pm). People head off between 2 and 3 so if you are planning on arriving late it would be worth bearing that in mind.

Corsaro Section November Meeting

*******CANCELLED*******
Due to the forecasts of gales and generally s**t weather all round, the November meeting has been cancelled. Floyd has contacted most regulars via text, but if anyone was thinking about turning up, you may be on your own.

Re: Cosaro ZZ

Hi Greg Yes I have ridden a ZZ, in fact I own one. I have also in the past owned a Corsaro 1200 and a Veloce so feel qualified to comment. The engine is basically the same however does have a different fuelling map, still pulls strongly but more frugal on the juice. Combined with a larger tank sees ...

Re: 3 1/2 Questions!

Just put this stuff in a K2, "5L 20W50 Fully Synthetic Motorcycle Oil 4 Stroke API SM 20W-50 5 Litres V-Twin", very slick! Sold by Westway Lubricants on Fleabay. Time will tell. My regards, Bill Dare I ask - how did you get 5 litres in then? :D Normally by forgetting to replace the sump p...
