I had a great day last year.
Chris & Mark, are you still going?
Anyone else?
Cheers,
Robin

Re: Lying speedo
I had a Veglia electronic tacho repaired about 18 months ago by Speedy Cables in S. Wales:

They fixed my broken tacho and refurbished it so it looked like new, charged abot £90.

Re: Front Tyre
My Scrambler suffered this problem on the rear wheel, took it to 3X and they fitted an inner tube. I have stuck with the std tyre on the Scrambler which is Michelin Anakee 2 and being aimed at the so called 'adventure bikes' which mostly have spoked wheels it is recommended for both tubed & tube...

Re: Tappet Clearances
Hello Strada Stu, Sounds like you may have adjusted them at TDC on the wrong stroke.... As the camshaft rotates at half the speed of the crank, the TDC mark on the flywheel corresponds to the piston being TDC on both the compression stroke and the exhaust stroke. The tappets must be set at TDC on th...

Hello again Chait, and welcome. You'll find everyone here is very helpful and it's a huge pool of Morini knowledge. Re: Brand New Scrambler - Help!
I must admit, I didn't check the manual about first service, most bikes seem to be at 1000k (600mi). I guess I would do what the manual sugests.... I guess you can get 3xto send an oil filter? If not, North Leicester Motorcycles (NLM) http://www.northleicestermotorcycles.com/ ship worldwide, they ar...

Re: Brand New Scrambler - Help!
Nice Garage! Glad 3X ot back to you. I notice from the workshop manual that it recommends Agip Oil & coolant. Just another choice although probably not that widly available where you are... As you have since descovered, 3.5l needed for an oil change, 3.6 with filter, I can confirm this having do...

Re: Brand New Scrambler - Help!
Hello Musclemoto, Congratulations on your Scrambler, that 6 month wait must have been tiresome. I have one too and it's exceeded all my expectations... In answer to your questions: 1. I used Putoline coolant, you'll probably need only a few spoonfulls (unless it's got a leak) so I don't suppose it w...

Re: Steering lock
Hi Monstyr, I was in exactly the same dilemma with my 500 and followed the details given in that link and successfully removed my steering lock. I bought a replacement on ebay from Germany. I did find that the replacement came with a round cover where as the post on the 500 frame is oval so I reused...

Re: Tea and Cakes?
I thoroughly enjoyed the tea & cakes afternoon, and was extremely chuffed with the prize for Best Off Roader awarded to my 1200 Scrambler, though I'm a little embarrassed given that the competition was a one horse race... So thanks to every one who voted and it was great to meat so many Morini r...
