Tinker;
Original panniers were from Hepco and Becker, and so there may be some lurking in their old parts bins...
GP - the best but one modern Morini!

Re: Won’t fire up after valve check
John; Good result - and I can share your sense of relief! Just had a go starting the ZZ for the first time in 2024; fortunately burst into life after a few seconds turning over but I have the battery on charge as I'll be need to refuel before I do any distance - probably tomorrow. If you have the pr...

New Morinis
Not sure where to put this... The current edition of Motorcycle Sport [and Leisure] has a six-page spread on the new Morinis shown at EIMCA, Milano, in November. Not as good as our coverage in ATG of course, but does include interviews by Alan Cathcart of the CEO, Alberto Monni, as well as the desig...

Re: Farewell
Neat thread!
Maybe we need to change that old saying (You either only ever have one Morini or never have just one Morini...)?
Suggestions, anyone - and thanks for all the shared info over past times!

Christmas 2023 ATG
I'm sure that someone in the know over such matters will be along shortly to give an update on when the last ATG of 2023 will hit our doormats!
(Or is it just mine?)
Happy New Year and good riding in 2024...

Re: What`s your other bike ?
Other bike brand? Is there such a thing! I guess there is - I still have the Velocette that I bought in 1970 (I think) - did 600 miles on it this year - not enough! I bought the Morini (wire wheel, disc braked) Strada in 1977 as it was close to the good handling of the Venom after I had experienced ...

Re: Shop full of Spares. Stock from closed dealer in Barcelona
Yep - it'll be the 180s that I need as its a Series 1 Strada as featured in the MRC 2024 Calendar! Hope that you all had a good Christmas - the Corsaro Section had a Boxing Day meet at the Hampshire Bowman - mild and damp but still great fun at a traditional British / English pub... Good riding in 2...

Ian;
If the list includes shoes suitable for the rear brake for the early Strada I'd have a set!
Good riding - and a happy 2024!

Re: Eicma
"Yes" as in talking from experience.
I also had one of the hugger style plate holders fail (on my ZZ). Luckily it wasn't broken all the way through and I saw its condition when I arrived home. Others have not been so fortunate!

Re: Eicma
All very exciting! One point of correction - the new 90 degree V is designed in Italy, but not necessarily by Moto Morini engineers (as I read all the stuff coming out). However, the power produced from a 750 looks to be more than enough needed for the majority of riders! And I already have my Corsa...

2024 Calendar - now available to pre order!
Yes.... It's at the printers and will be available to send out in a week, once our editor returns from Milan and EIMCA - where lots of NEW MORINIS are on display, including the X-Cape 1200 with the updated Euro 5+ compliant engine! (Oops, did I just reveal my prejudices there?) We've had to put the ...

Re: Swing arm failure
The new 'X-Cape' 1200 has a different design of swing arm - probably a lot heavier but might be worth an investigation for those who are really worried?

Re: Swing arm failure
Hi Hombre; It's a good point. Just looking at section 18 of the parts manual for the GP there looks to be only one spacer, which locates the brake calliper correctly with the disc, plus a washer (not spacer) between the wheel nut and the swingarm. I am presuming that the two are similar - Scrambler ...
