John - don't worry, I am not upset... its just that the modern Morinis do drink fuel, and the factory seem to want to make them a little more economical. Just so that they don't overdo it and take away all of the fun :D

Keep asking the questions

Best wishes

Mackia; I've just posted some comments on the Gran Passo page about fuel - you might be interested. I am sad enough to keep a log (I caught it from my brother in law...), and my Corsaro is averaging just on 40 UK miles / gallon. Not the most frugal, but then I didn't get it for its economy... :) CC

GB - the factory very wisely doesn't quote fuel consumption figures! I would expect about 45mpg, if the motor is as soft as the 9.5 which runs well (on the one ride I had on it) at reasonable speeds. The latest Corsaro has an improved map which also improves consumption (looks like the Factor...

John; Interesting copmments. Look at this for a current test on Morinis; http://www.autotrader.co.uk/EDITORIAL/bike_page_content/40086.html With my Corsaro I got 42 mpg when running in - the Gran Passo is claimed to have optimised design to improve fuel economy (as is the 9.5) so probably delivers s...

Hi GB, and welcome to the forum! I understand that the Gran Passo is due to come into the UK sometime in April. 3X, the importer, are accepting orders, as are several other dealers including North Leicester; I am not sure what the situation is with your supplier on the Island? I have had my Corsaro ...

The Factory reports strong interest in Italy in the Scrambler - orders are being given to dealers even before the bikes are at the shops - just like the GranPasso...

It will be interesting to see the UK reaction!

All;

As revealed to the Morini club at the Factory Visit in September - Morini are using the "old style" tank badges on the first showing of both these models. Is this another possible club product?

Guys; In the UK trade users tend to stay away from forums like ours - although we do have interest from some and I know that one at least is keen to join. 3X, the UK importers are still bringing in Morinis and are taking money for the new Granpasso - due here in April. They are showing Morini at the...

Young Tom - do you mean to say that there are things other than Morinis? And you could have shown off that Corsaro too...

Certainly hope that there will be a few Morinis there this year - where is a good place to meet up?

Machia; As I said - my problem may be a fault with one of the sensors - the engine turns over and once warmed up to 20 degrees or so runs fine - the mapping etc give a good clean run from 1500 revs to the limit. It just needs me to set the throttle so that it doesn't stall when cold... The lights ar...

Hi Mackia; I've had my Corsaro 18 months now and have done 5,600 miles on it, and so its been through the whole service cycle. This is a first service at 1,500 km (about 1000 miles), another at 5,000 km (3000 miles) and then one eery two years or 10,000 km (6000 miles). This last one costs twice as ...

Mine (a 2006 Corsaro) is insured through Norwich Union Direct (along with a Morini Dart - a long story) - they are both fully comp and it was a pretty competative quote through Shelstons in Farnborough, where a friend of my son worked. £320 for the two bikes might sound a bit rich, but the Dart use...

Gran Passo

The Gran Passo seems to be creating interest amongst both the press and the buying public. My friendly local dealer says that he has interest from several perspective buyers already, and that the bike will be available from April 2008. It certainly sounds the business, with extras like heated grips,...

Good to see that you guys are really in to the Corsaros! Real World Bikes in Abedare - did either of you both buy bikes there and are they good? Might be aiming to have a MRC ride out there in the Spring of 2008 - any interest? South Wales is a bit far / too much motorway for me from Berkshire, but ...

Well Dave, I bought my copy of the 2008 calendar at the Classic Mechanics show at Stafford - and must say what a great job you've done. A range of wonderfully evocative pictures from the factory racer to the 2006 Corsaro via Cadwell 2007 and the Factory visit, something for everyone in 13 pages! Tha...
