Mark I wondered when you were following me back to stevenage the other week as I was slowing down to 45-50 mph to keep you in my mirrors, I thought it was your tyre issue. I have attached a link to a spreadsheet I use, not mine but widely available on the net. I have populated it with the standard m...

Derek I do have my old chain slider but cannot currently locate it, its in a bag with the old chain. I fitted a different swinging arm to my Morini and had to fabricate a new slider. I used a material called 'delrin' and bought two blocks off of ebay. Delrin is used in knee sliders and the like, the...

Hi, First check is to make sure the brake light and rear light are not wired to the same filament on the bulb, could explain the issue. However it is more likely to be an earthing problem on the rear light somewhere, I have not had it on a Morini but have seen it on vehicles in front of me where the...

Andy Have you checked the spark strength, you can make a spark gauge from an old spark plug and cut down the side so you can create a gap between the overhead and centre electrode. Start with a gap of 5mm and see if the spark can jump that. Also check the spark plug type and plug cap type as if they...

Andy Regarding the static timing it involves rotating the engine until the ANT mark on the rotor is lined up with the mark on the crankcase. Then rotate the pick-up plate until the reference mark on the plate corresponds to the mark on the casing and the mark on the small rotor also lines up. Then i...

Andy Not sure if you have seen the wiring diagram on the MRC website, link below:- http://www.morini-riders-club.com/thebikes/technical/Wiring/3506pole.gif Ifyou are getting indicators and horn to work that means there should be 12v showing on pin 1 of the ignition switch as this is the supply from ...

Dougi, I was up in Northumberland on holiday last week, could not make the meet but on the way to Bellingham where I was staying I spotted a lone Morini with a Moto Guzzi for company heading towards Chollerford. Sadly I was driving the lovely Northumberland roads in my car, I will try to get up ther...

Mark Regarding the jumping out of gear my Kanguro can jump out of gear when changing from 5th to 6th, but it never does if I use a clutchless change. I have since adjusted the clutch and gear change linkage and it occurs a lot less. So initially it wold be worth checking your clutch and gear linkage...

Mark To check for neutral you can check between the terminal on the neutral switch located just near the gearbox sprocket with a multi-meter and you should see open circuit between switch and ground when not in neutral and a short circuit between the switch and ground when in neutral (proper neutral...
