Re: Fuel consumption and other stuff
After a trip to France I appear to be getting 9 miles per litre of fast but steady riding on motorway and A roads. I can't get more than 25 litres in my tank, having run it until it ran out of fuel once. Even so, that gives me about 225 miles on a tank at maximum. I now tend to ignore the fairly ran...

Nlm and 3x have filters, at £19.99 plus vat and postage and £27.95 plus postage respectively. The Scott filter still looks attractive.

Enjoy. I bought mine after an unplanned test ride and a massive grin.....

Will try 3X again having just read previous post. I'm still prepared to buy the Scott though.

Re: custom made re-useable oil filter now available $85
Have now read the post re Scott oil filter failure. It had collapsed by the 6th removal and cleaning, although it is not clear what sort of mileage that represents. Even if you only used it for 4 oil changes before getting it professionally cleaned, it still works out cheaper than getting the normal...

Re: custom made re-useable oil filter now available $85
Would these Scott filters fit the Granpasso? 3X were not able to replace my filter at the last service, so I need to sort out my own solution. I'd be happy to pay a bit more for the better quality, provided it will do the job.

Re: Have I left it too late to get one?
On a note of caution, most of the posts on this forum praise 3X for the quality of their service etc. which I heartily agree with. Other dealers do not seem to fair so well, so if you can't get to 3X, you may struggle to get any decent after sales service. £10K does sound steep, and there are a few ...

Re: Warranty Spares
Sorry to hear about the unresolved GP stalling. I had a similar but less extreme problem of stalling when coasting with clutch in. A real problem at roundabouts etc. 3X have been very good at trying a variety of remedies, including taking lambda sensors off their demonstrator. They als gave me a dec...

Re: Hand Guards
I've also fitted the KTM SMT handguards (tried the adventure ones by mistake first - too small), at £44 rather than £120+ for the Moto Morini ones. Pretty straightforward to fit. I've kept the bar end weights on, and used the retaining bolt already in place. I had to cut down the white plastic inser...

Bummer. Nice to see the wing mirrors aren't too expensive though (unlike the handguards).

Re: 500 Mile Review
GP now sorted. Fuel light on after a little over 16 litres used (140 miles). Not stalling, and running much more smoothly after the remap at 3x. Also had it's first pillion trip. I previously had a VFR800 pre VTEC, which was good for pillions. The GP is much better. The pillion, about 11 stone, repo...

Did the HID make much of a difference? I was thinking of boosting my full beam.

Hmm. Probably looks good at night from the front, but not so good during the day.

Re: Givi rack and top box
I've picked up a universal Bagster tank cover at the NEC for £89, which will take any of their tank bags (I already have 2) and should fit any bike apparently. I'll post some pictures once it's fitted.

Re: Fuel Reserve again
I know it's no help, but mine was initially coming on after 10 litres were used, but would go out again once the bike was turned off. It would then run for a few more litres before coming on again. I tried this a few times. It eventually stayed on, and I ran out of fuel  My GP has just come ba...
