Re: frames
I have grown tired of the assumptions and responses to my comments. I am not known to those who place such replies hence there is considerable drift from the reality of my intentions. I neither want nor expect something for nothing. I simply do not wish to join the club as I only enjoy reading the m...

Re: frames
Steve. Vitriol may appear harsh but there is little about certain responses which engender friendship, simply a perceived demand that non members should join up or shut up.i.e no right to pass comment. The parts to which you refer were sold independently and went to those in need and at reasonable pr...

Re: frames
Wrong? Really? The largest motorcycle club in the UK,namely the VMCC realised many years ago that members have their own agendas . Recognition of individual interests is important to survival irrrespective of the level of contribution. My comment about money was not meant to suggest that if large am...

Re: frames
Yes Dave they would. It would also be the incentive I need to join. Mercenary perhaps, but when it comes to money does it matter whether it goes to a member or otherwise? The main thing is that the parts go to a person for their the intended purpose. Keeping another of these fine machines on the roa...

Re: web site very quiet
The Dragon was very cold this year but compared with early events was almost springlike. I didnt go but have attended in the past as I used to be a member of the conway club years back. Was it still in the Capel curig area? I saw lots of bikes going through and assumed that it must be the Dragon. No...

Having spoken to rob at nlm, he believes the club have/had a selection of early frames which initially came from benji straw. Is this true? I bought a used sport frame recently but it proved to be corroded and crimped where the side stand mounts so would prefer not to use it. Does anyone have info o...

Re: web site very quiet
Well my post seems to have livened things up. I fully appreciate your observations and it is only right that a non member is put in his place. I agree with the comments re the VMCC.It is an excellent mag in general but membership is not really beneficial other than access to Footman James et al.I wa...

Re: web site very quiet
Well at least my comments elicited response, and of the sort I would expect from club stalwarts. The beauty of a forum is that it gives a flavour of what is going on. We all hold different interests and I personally am not really club orientated. Residing in N Wales there are no local venues anyway. ...

web site very quiet
I agree with comments made about the few who do provide for those who sit back and criticise. Whilst not a MRC member I do have a healthy interest and have noted very little activity within these pages. Certainly nothing to pursuade me to join. Is there any life out there? Stories, tech articles etc?...

Re: 250 single for sale plus loads of spares for same
Hi neil. Just to advise I have failed to remove the pipes as the castellated nots will not budge..even with heat and penetrating fluid. I do not have the correct spanner but am using a stilson! It has not marked the securing nut!!
As a result I still cannot try the stainless pipes.sorry. John

Hi neil. I forgot to ask if you had the fiamm horn? I have a french lookalike with a very poor tone.
Thanks for the frame. All was well.. Let me know if you sell the wheels. I may be interested. John
