Riding Advice
With the current crisis developing, MAG's latest news update has a very sensible approach for us all to take. We'll soon have further announcements from the club about activities, and may you all stay safe in the meantime. We'll have those v-twins (and singles!) snarling again before too long. All t...

Re: Battery not charging - Regulator/Rectifier problem?
I'm certainly no electrical expert, but when my own '75 Strada lost the battery charge, I traced the problem to a poor earth connection. I hope it's something as simple in your case.

Stafford Spring Show Postponed
Here's the announcement: Following the recent announcement from the UK Government, Mortons Events has had to postpone the 40th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Show which was due to be held on April 25-26. The safety and well-being of our visitors, exhibitors, partners, contractors and staff is the mo...

Quite right Steve. The forum is meant to help and encourage people, and personal comments and rudeness are not welcome.

Re: Exhaust nuts.
Rossguzzi, reading your posts it sounds as though you don't have a gasket. There should be a soft alloy (?) gasket which is squashable and will take up some of the slack.

Re: Bar end mirrors?
I agree Simon, the convex mirrors are so small that you only see a car behind you when it's in the middle of the overtake. (I only discovered this when I bought a Royal Enfield Bullet...). Halcyon give a proper sized clear image, and they're all I use now.

Re: winter stripdown
Adding to what Mark said about areas prone to cracking, also check the rear upper frame where it cantilevers back from the top shock absorber mounts. My '75 Strada had developed stress fractures on both sides there.

Re: Bar end mirrors?
Another recommendation for good Halcyon bar end mirrors. I just have one on the right hand side. If you go continental touring, don't forget to swap it to the left bar, otherwise you'll just get an excellent view of the hard shoulder behind you.

Re: The new 650 Morini
the Italian Morini FB page has many comments saying that it's a Kawasaki Versys. I rode one of those for 1000 miles around Thailand, and it's highly competent: mountain hairpins and climbs, flat-out dual carriageways, gravel trails - whatever you want to do with it. It just had no soul or sense of i...

If you PM me your email address I've got photos of the Tarozzi 'high rise' clip-ons that I had on my Strada. (Clamped to the fork stanchions as on a Sport).

Re: Exhausted
I've had some downpipes with the long extension on the LHS, others without, and one where the extension had clearly been hacksawed off. In real life I don't think it matters.
