Re: Tarozzi brake arm repair/replace
Thanks for that, have refitted the original footrests and brake/gear levers for the time being having boringly packed them up many years ago and labelled the bits 'in case'....... Will go welder hunting, will need some work as well on the adjustment holes afterwards as they seem a little less circul...

Tarozzi brake arm repair/replace
So I managed to snap the brake arm when giving a particularly big kick to the starter pedal......snapped at the footrest support neatly in two.. Replacements are apparently unobtainable anywhere that shows them on the web. As they are 'standard' parts (at about £40) almost any kit will do for cannib...

Re: Difficult 3rd to 4th gear change
1978 UK all its life (and part of mine for 37 years!) with 24K miles. Had work done at NLM many years ago to repair the crankcases after finding a previous owner had obviously had chain issues and repaired it with plastic metal and dirty grease....... Never sure everything was realigned correctly, b...

Difficult 3rd to 4th gear change
Out for a short bimble yesterday and had difficulty going from 3rd to 4th - sometimes.... No problem with going down the box from 4th to 3rd or any other changes and no sign of clutch slip or drag, felt as it has always done. Engine running fine, no odd noises. Any suggestions, presumably will need ...

Re: National Road Rallys
Have done all of these regularly but not on the 350 Sport, the Deauville is rather better for 400+ mile days! I do go for the highest awards in all of them and if anyone needs some info I can certainly advise - there are lower awards requiring far more gentle riding and as I get even more mature the...

Re: Where did it come from?
The clutch push rod could well have a ball fitted in theory to prevent the push rod from binding but usually fitted part way along. Think mine has this (been a long time since I went in to play) but my memory (it has been in use for a long time!!) may be playing tricks with me. Bit cold to go and pl...

Re: Indicators 350 sport
If you are happy to tweak the wiring a bit then electronic relays are much better giving a steady flash rate - rather than the somewhat variable one from the older bimetallic strip type of relay. Also independent of load.

Re: MRC Chairman’s run- 22nd August 2021
Set off this morning from deepest Essex and dampness to join you - got as far as the petrol station and when restarting managed somehow to break off the rear set brake lever - which I only found out about at the next roundabout.... Returned to garage, recovered the offending items' remains and went ...

Re: Sachse Ignition Kit
Coils will fit very neatly under the tank, but need careful placing in the bracket - also which way round as well for clearance and ability to get HT leads in right place! Run wires carefully too...checking they are the right way to the right coil. Not quite sure what you mean by the regulator under...

Kick start lever hitting LH cover
Dragging the cover off the bike (1978 Sport) after winter and checking it over all seemed well generally. Started first kick (Sachse ignition clearly still connected!) and ran and idled as well as normal. Noticed though that the LH cover is getting damaged by the kickstart (pic 1) - the lever has of...

Re: fuel line
As a source for hoses go to your local industrial estate and find a supplier of hydraulic hoses who seem to stock everything hose and clip wise or if they don't they have a catalogue to hand which does.....if you have a choice go to the one with a motorbike outside.......

Re: Bottom yoke holes thread size.
Those tapped holes are also used to mount the base of the cockpit fairing though as the (1978 cast/single disc) bike is in the depths of the garage and under covers I can't easily get at them, but M6 rather than M7 as I used handy lying around bolts when fixing the cockpit and M7 I don't have lying ...

Re: Idiot lights
If you change the flasher relay to an electronic one ( a few £ delivered from the Far East) that sends a regular 12V pulse to the indicator switch continuously as a feed then there is no polarity change issue involved and any LED tell tales (a few less ££ from the Far East) can be used. Have fitted ...

Having now moved into Tier 4 (Yay - top of the league....!!) does trying different Sachse programmes count as essential travel??
