Re: Electronic fuel tap rubber membranes
So, another update on these. They’re now in production. They will be available in time for the club’s rally in June (where you can also see the test rig) and will also be on sale via the club products page by the end of June. A great outcome, and well done to the club for putting in the money and ef...

Re: One way bearing again
I have never had or known that bearing or the spring to fail. In fact, I’ve never even replaced those items in any of my engines.
Definitely worth checking everything else out when you reassemble, and make sure the thrust washers and shims are correct and in the correct places

Re: Warwickshire Welford Meetings?
Sorry about that, quite a few of the warwickshire section were away on holidays last week (disgraceful I know!) but I am surprised nobody was there- There are normally half a dozen of us. We have a WhatsApp group so if you want to join that drop us a message (details in ATG) and normally there are a...

Re: 1983 Sport FOR SALE
It’s a really original bike, recent import so spared dozens of UK winters. Pretty much all original paint, and other than the headlight (which is a proper CEV), indicators (which are brighter than the originals) and rearsets and kickstart extender, it’s completely as it left the factory and un messe...

Re: 250 rebuild from bits
Glad the Morini Riders Club were able to help you with getting this registered. For anyone who doesn’t know, providing dating certificates and registration advice is (quite generously) a free service the club offers, and there are probably 100 more Morinis on UK roads so far as a a result. Richard, ...

Re: Any Morini owners in Kent?
Welcome to ownership! Quite a few club members scattered across the countryside. Have you seen the club is hosting an international rally near Maidstone in June? Well worth booking into that and meeting other Morini folk from near and far. More info in the rally booking page: https://www.morini-ride...

Re: Hone strong are these engines
As with all engines, be sympathetic in allowing your engine to come up to operating temperature, but once warm, you can show it no mercy.
A morini responds really well to a good thrashing. Pretty sure the only reason the red line is there is to stop the needle falling off the rev counter!

Re: Trackday 2024
Today is the last day to pay for trackday, if you were allocated a place. A few have yet to pay. You will have received a payment link in March and various reminders since. Tomorrow any remaining unpaid places will be offered to the reserve list. If you didn’t register and want to get onto the reser...

I can second the quality of Alldens work. He’s done a few for vintage bikes for my dad and they have been excellent.

No problem.
I’m not going to be at Stafford but the club will have a stand there. I’ll speak to Julian and see if we can sort a way of getting them there. Watch this space, and remind me if I forget!

Re: Valentini Replica
I have a spare RMS exhaust which in my opinion is the best 2 into 1 for a 350. Picture attached. It’s not for sale because I intend on keeping it as a spare incase god forbid anything ever happens to the RMS on my sport, but would happily lend it for somebody to get copies made. Plenty of people hav...

Re: Kick starting technique
I do agree Mickey, my electric foot works a treat. But you did include an extra step. With a working electric fuel tap no need to even turn on the fuel!! Also, I tend to flip my chokes up when I park. I figure it helps stop the choke rubber pad taking an indented set which eventually causes poor sta...
