Re: 500W carb questions

Hi Charles, Its hard to say from the photos but I would say those plug colours look pretty reasonable actually. You mention the timing marks being about 1/3 tooth out- The bottom pulley has multiple keyways in it so you can pull it off the crank and rotate it until you find a position that gives you...

Re: Rear master cylinder replacement

Read my post from 10th September above!! I’ve given the details of the brembo on my bike which can be modified quite easily to fit.

Late 350 with a disc (k1 and k2) have the same master cylinder as the 500

Re: 520 Chain Conversion info

Mdina have the front 520 sprockets for a 350 in stock. Part number 19.01.38 (or M190138) I think. 14 tooth front sprocket Dart was geared pretty much the same as earlier 350- 38 or 39 rear sprocket seems normal. I’m not aware of any other bikes using the same front sprocket, and to be honest it’s go...

Re: Rear Sprocket from JT

Just to complete the loop on this one, following advice from Tom Ros in the ‘wanted forum’ I bought a sprocket from an MuZ660 which is a 39 tooth and in a 520 size. Readily available for about £20. JTR18-39 is the code. Not fitted it yet but it looks spot on. Now everybody has easily available optio...

Once again the MRC will have a stand at the Stafford show, where you can meet with other morini owners, see some of our members bikes on display and purchase club products and membership. Please note that this year we will be in the main hall, on the balcony in the alcove. Please bear in mind that w...

Re: Maiden Voyage

Glad you got out on it Rick, they are different to the 350s but massively underrated in my opinion.

We’ve got quite a few darts in the UK now, would love to get them all together sometime. Shall we try to plan a 2022 darts get-together, see how many we can draw out of the woodwork?

Of course, Paul means if you don’t have the screws it’s a ball bearing engine. But he knows that. Just thought I’d correct the typo to avoid confusion

Re: Clutch locking tool and seal size

Hi Tim, Les Madge had a clutch holding tool for sale at the Morini club rally just gone. You could try emailing him, maybe he would post it to you. Try his club email address: devon@morini-riders-club.com Regarding the oil seals, having some turned is ideal but whenever I'm stuck I make a cone from ...

Re: Rear master cylinder replacement

I have no clue if this would be a direct replacement or if they are any good. But I did read somewhere that classic karts used grimeca master cylinders similar to ours, and found this copy of one online. Worth investigating possibly? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Master-Cylinder-13mm-bore-/1...

Three Moors Run- Sunday 12th Sep

I've just had a call from Russell Benney saying that they have had a drop-out for this weekend's three moors run (or Giro South west) and asking if anyone in the club would be interested (I suspect at this stage a reasonable discount could be negotiated!) Sounds like a really fun event, aimed primar...
