Re: Saving the Kanguro from decay
Refreshing an old thread. Trying to problem solve the last electrical gremlins in my X1 Kanguro, the handlebar switch is badly cracked. About to order a new CEV 206 switch which I will need to wire up. So, I Understand the 2 systems 6v DC and 12v AC. My question is this to challenge my comprehension...

Re: Kanguro/500
Pushrods all look straight and round and no breakages. Good idea to drop the valves out.

Re: Kanguro/500
Bizarre... Just removed the heads, with front off it still locked, after removing rear it cranks over fine yet the head looks in good condition. Am left assuming it was a sticking valve, although the adjusters were at opposite extremes, one almost all the way down, the other almost all the way up. L...

B&c express were bought out by Dutch company and incorporated into Hoco parts but their Lincolnshire phone number is still listed, might be worth a call

Re: Kanguro/500
Progress today. Bypassing ignition switch but replicating connections. All indicators work, rear light works, horn works once replaced with a new one, front brake light works but rear switch has too much resistance, has 6v but only 3v output so new switch required. Anybody know a source? Have emailed...

Kanguro/500
Thought I'd move my ramblings to here. Kanguro. Ignition key was cause of some issues. Bypassing blue/green I now have sparks. Linking red to yellow and yellow/black I have horn and idiot lights but not indicators or brake lights but handlebar switch badly cracked so may be more poor contacts. 500 A...

Re: Combined charge/ignition
Showing my ignorance of MM, is the crank 180 degrees opposed? From photos it looks like a 360, so both at tdc together??
Have emailed electrexworld as well, be interesting to see if they rise to the challenge

500 rotor/stator/trigger wanted
As the title suggests, my recently acquired bike has obviously been cannibalised for parts and is missing its charging and ignition system so am looking for a replacement whilst I experiment with more modern solutions. Any leads appreciated. Ian

Combined charge/ignition
 My recenacquired 500 sport is missing its stator and rotor and whilst I haven't checked I'd guess the trigger unit off the camshaft. I recently fitted an electrexworld combined generator and ignition to my ducati 350 single, andvits transformed, easy starting, nice tick over and smooth runnin...

Re: Rear head removal
The unhappiness continues... Removed ignition cover to try rocking crank end nut, only to find no rotor or stator, reading advert again this was declared, bugger. Now some may say, it forces my hand to upgrade to sachse ignition which is a good move but my budget for engine work is rapidly being con...

Re: Primarily gear sprocket
I have a 1954 Monet Goyon and did exactly as Steve suggested, had old front sprocket turned down and New "opened up", and them welded together, worked a treat.
Have also has bespoke sprockets made but supplier appears to have gone bust sure it was B&H or similar.

Rear head removal
Have searched the forum without finding an obvious answer. Can you remove the rear head with engineb in frame, even if it needs mounts loosening. Want to see if engine still stuck with heads off before delving deeper.
Many thanks Ian
