Bottom end strip
I'm undertaking a bottom end strip on a long abandoned (long story) engine that has been sitting with it's barrels off and has a lot of dried in oil residue and may have debris inside. The engine doesn't appear to have any appreciable wear. I have three current issues. 1: how do I get the two heavil...

Re: Strada/kanguro Hybrid
That's brilliant news, thanks. There's no dish on the rotor, and no case, but I've a spare one of those. Thanks again Steve!

Re: Kanguro
Can you fit Strada electrics (rotor, coils, transducer pick up, loom etc) to a Kanga engine?
I've got all the above electrics and a Kanga engine, but it feels as though I may have jumped in a bit quickly...

Strada/kanguro Hybrid
In the middle of my Strada rebuild I've bought a Kanguro engine for a very reasonable price (someone had tried to put it in a hardtail chopper frame and given up). It was a quick decision and I didn't do my homework. But i would have bought it anyway as a source of spares... Anyway I now have two an...

Carb inlets
I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild, and I have three cylinder heads. Two of them have the later type carb inlets, which use the rubber manifolds, and one has the older type inlet, which the carb bolts on to. Apart from missing the inlet stub, (I do have it, lurking in a box) this early type is i...

Actually, scrub this. After weeks of searching, I found the damn cups shortly after posting this. I'll get the rest from Mdina...

Steering head bearing cups and others
Has anyone got the following for a 1980 350:
Steering head bearing cups x 2
A clutch spring bucket (I only need one)
And an exhaust ferrule ring.
Cheers

Re: special tool MOR-T4
Thanks for the offer Harry, it sounds like i did the same thing in the end! I just stared at the thing for ages, tried and failed several times, then rummaged around in a box of triumph bits and found half a two legged puller which I attached two 8mm bolts and washers to on either end. It did work, ...

special tool MOR-T4
My old Harglo manual says that I should always use something called Special Tool Mor-T4 to get the camshaft drive gear off.
Can anyone advise what it looks like, where I might get one, or what I could use instead?
Cheers!

Re: 375 liner enough meat?
To my enormous surprise and delight, the shop has measured and honed the bores and despite there being 38k miles on it, the wear is minimal, so I can use the old pistons with new rings. Now to solve the head gasket issue... I'll anneal the old ones, but does anyone know if I can use composite ones? ...

375 liner enough meat?
I've just dropped my barrels off at a local top notch engineering shop, and the expert there looked concerned that the liners might not have enough meat on them to take out to 64mm at the bottom to fit replacement 375 pistons. Is that possible? Or should there be some part of the boring out process ...

Re: piston rings: what's right?
The old style oil rings as in the Harglo book were superceded sometime in the last century. So don't worry about it and fit new ring sets. The old original type that had the flat internal spring had to be fitted with an oil ring with a suitably reduced section. The new replacements are fine. Thanks...

piston rings: what's right?
I know there are many piston ring threads on here, but I can't find an answer to my particular question, so here goes. I've got the old pistons out of a spare Strada engine I have to put into my re-furbed engine (eventually). Both pistons have identical rings. My old photocopied Harglo workshop manu...
