Re: Speedo converter

Mike,

I have a 240Mph speedo when changing from MPH to KPH on the 1200, as I guess you did on the Milano, can the factory change it, apparently not.
I vote for marking it up or add a GPS speedo or use a phone.

Re: atomiser/emulsion tube.

According to the article in La Strega the U has 0.8mm holes.
The CT has holes of 1.0mm at A and B

If adapting other tubes excess holes can be plugged with solder.

Re: atomiser/emulsion tube.

You can get an available spec 260 then drill out 0.8 mm holes, then ream with a 2.60 reamer to make a U pattern. John this is a useful table but it omits a little detail, not all holes are 0.8mm across all emulsifiers. For example BR has 1.0mm holes. So we would need to double check the U hole size...

Re: 250 rebuild from bits

Hi, Glad to hear it runs. Brand new bore and/or rings will take some time to bed in and give good compression. Mark: can you explain why the ignition needs retarding if the transducers don't give enough advance at 6000? I would have thought to advance them. Scooters advance earlier - the controlling...

Re: 250 rebuild from bits

Hi Hopefully it will be a runner soon. Probably you already considered these points, but in case there was something missed. Tried a 500 airfilter and it does not fit for me! It, if its a genuine 500 filter, will need to be filed a little to clear the posts or it wont sit properly, but it will fit. ...

Re: 250 2C tyres

Hi Parky, Good to hear of another 250 I agree with 72degrees 100% ME22s all the way, don't read reviews, ask people who ride them, you can go 3.25 on the rear but not 3.50 We have owned 250s since 93. I also have a 250 2C with Avon roadriders, too big especially the front... stay with the Metzelers....

Re: Fuel tap overhaul

Long story short, remove the electric one, plugged the hole and use the right rear position only with a std fueltap with two positions. Regards A Good advice! But I do this, leave the tap in place and put a length of 8mm bar inside the fuel pipe to stop it because mine would not seal off. Then use ...

Re: Supercharged Morini will get a 250J

interesting project Robert and Miss Amy. How strict is the 250cc class, there is a lot of meat on those liners  And thanks to Morini modularity - a lot from other capacity machines is interchangeable. The torque settings for the 250 2C need to come from the 250 2C user manual and not from the ...

Re: 250 2c front wheel washer/seal

Hi, The part 16 43.05.49 is just a shield for the usually fitted unshielded bearing, if you fit new metal shielded bearing then its not needed, notice the other bearing is described in Italiano as schermato this means shielded. If you already have fitted an unshielded bearing then its best to fit a ...

Re: Cam belt size

Dave, If you have a B pinion, you may have to try another supplier if the generic belt from Conti is too slack. Its likely that you got a generic belt on the long end of the distribution of lengths. Usually we buy a few generic belts and select the best fit as they are pretty cheap different people ...

bad luck Terry although if it was turning it may have been of limited use returning to my query about clutch plates - these are advertised on fleabay but the 500 sport is pretty much the only one not listed. Just to be on the safe side - can I be certain they will fit? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/26...
