Re: Clutch locking tool and seal size

For smaller o rings the white nozzle from a mastic tube can work well.

Re: Kanguro X1 Rear Monoshock

That looks like a good price. I have a species of Hagon on my Coguaro but that is a lot more money so will come back to this thread if and when it fails. Its the only bike I have ever had with a component that actually absorbs shock, unlike the ones on my Sport which let me know when I’ve hit the 5t...

Re: Armours Silencers

Hi my Sitos extend to the edge of the rear tyre pretty much. How much shorter were the Keihans? The acid test of course is impact on performance, with appearance a good second.
I have wondered as to the merits and indeed cost of ceramic coating because knowing my luck I’ll scratch it.

Re: Ducati 750 Sport

You should try a T160. 35 mpg, as low as 30 mpp of oil, waterproof trouserlegs, ( the unacceptable face of Castrol) con rods that come of at 115 mph ( I was young) Apart from that bloody brilliant, no transducers or anything new fangled.with a Piper 3 into 1 the sound was fantastic.SVH681P where are...

Re: Armours Silencers

We BMW types generally have Keihans fitted and would say they are seamless in operation
but then my beemer has Breakwell and Green silencers and these do not have any seams visible.Nor indeed can you still get them.
Do let us know how you get on,my black chrome ones are beginning to pickle.

Re: Ignition fault

Indeed the pickup and transducer combinations are clear on the NL website. If you could get to the rally I could bring a black pickup to try but I do not have a red.Depends on your transducers I think.

Re: Think I'm going to admit defeat.........

I will have a look when THE CAT shifts. Just got back from the Bideford Bike show. Mostly uninteresting bikes and a preponderance of the chopper squad. But the ride back was glorious. Not a patch on the road to Akaroa of course but I did that in a Yaris.
Bless it.

Re: Think I'm going to admit defeat.........

That is good news. And we still have decent weather so you should be able to give it some beans and blow out the cobwebs. I have had a pair of throttle cables from Venhill some years ago and those were fine . I should have recorded the dimensions as I have for various clutch cables.
All the best John

Re: Rear sprocket

As a conclusion to this tale B&C finally got a new supplier of blanks and within ten or so days I got my sprocket. Going from 46 to 42 has certainly made for a more relaxed ride but still enough pep to get away from the lights today in Exeter which has been totally jammed all day due to road wor...

The airbox is only a cm above the rear end of the front rocker cover at best. Needs some sort of dimple or groove in the underside. Anyway done for now....or ever.....
