Another ex Telecom engineer here. I crimp and solder the connections as I was trained to do. Too much heat from the soldering iron is bad so a small soldering iron and fine solder with added flux is fine.

Gear shift lever for 250 vee

Can anybody help me with this ? It seems to be unique to this model. The lever pivots on the footpeg and connects to a linkage.The part number is 450251.

I ended up using the one way valve for car or bike engines as recommended by Steve. It fits inside the breather pipe, it's cheap, you can't see it and it works. Thanks everybody for the advise.

I spent a frustrating few hours trying to shorten a throttle cable, I assume the inner must be stainless steel as the flux and solder does not seem to work on this.

Thanks everybody. I read somewhere, possibly on here, that they cause the necessary back pressure so that oil reaches the cylinder heads.

Can somebody please help me , I need a labyrinth, that's the plastic baffle that goes in the crankcase breather pipe. Mdina have none.

It has the VHBZ 22 HS carbs. I have the correct jets , needles ,etc .it's just on one carb the slide is a 7447- 50 and it should be a 7447- 40. This size was also used on the 125H and 250 T

I need a carb slide for my 250 2c, the part number is 7447-40 . I have tried the usual places such as Eurocarb and Mdina but no luck,

Same here ! I compared it to a cable I bought from them about 5 years ago and the inner is about 10mm longer.
