Re: Gear selector clearance to casing
I have the Granpasso and a 9 1/2 and haven’t noticed the option but thanks will have a look. The main problem is on the 9 1/2 the dash is bust so I’m fitting an aftermarket one with the option.

Re: Gear selector clearance to casing
Thanks Robert I think that photo has already answered my question. I don’t think my idea will work. The picture from the workshop manual appeared to have more room around the selector. Thanks again.

Re: Stepper motor probably
There was a post on another forum about wiring harness earths might be worth checking. My tickover is all over the place. I have refitted the stepper but not had a chance to try it yet.

Gear selector clearance to casing
Hi has anyone got a gear selector casing off an engine and can have a look at how much clearance there is around the gear selector near the neutral switch. I am thinking of fitting a gear indicator( not because I need one but my Speedo has the option ) I was thinking of glueing a ring (with a magnet...

Re: Stepper motor probably
How do you get it out though? I tried gently but didn’t want to break it! The later Ducati ones look easily removable. The piston on yours might be a different shape!.
I have ran it fully in and out many times and it seems good but weather and work is preventing fitting it.

Re: Something to be very concerned about.
Scary. For me the main fun in motorcycling is getting a bike that hasn’t ran for years working or adapting bikes to be how I like them.

Stepper motor probably
So got my tank leak sorted and a fuel gauge fitted, new fork seals fitted. Worked ok for Dave Day run and now it's revving to 3k rpm tickover, it's ok when under power.. So I'm guessing stepper motor so need to get Guzzidiag out and have a play.
